We had the pleasure of seeing the newly refurbished Varty Camp at Londolozi Game Reserve which looks even better than ever. Each of the chalets now has a bright and airy look to them, along with a refreshed main bar and main dining area. Such a warm and welcoming place to relax after safari!

Happy ! We’ve just returned from South Africa and will be sharing a few highlights from our time on safari. First up, Lion Sands Game Reserve Narina Lodge. This 9 suite, “organic chic” property is perched among the trees overlooking the Sabie River, which provides lovely views of the surrounding area and wildlife (either from the main lounge or the privacy of your own plunge pool 😉). Food is exceptional and the warm, smiling staff makes you feel right at home!

After a 10-month, multi-million dollar renovation the One&Only Le Saint Géran reopened this past December. From its beautiful stretch of beach and its private location, Le Saint Géran is the perfect address for couples, but also has enough option in case the kids want to come along! We had a chance to spend some time here this week and take it from us, it’s back and better than ever! &OnlyHotels

Weekends are better at the beach! We had a great time exploring the northwest corner of for a few days, which included a stay at The Oberoi Mauritius. The beautiful grounds and spacious pavilions and villas are the perfect retreat after a day of activity...or just relaxing!

Did you know? Yes, there is now in Costa Rica! You can spend the weekend being one with nature but still having the creature comforts of home. Isla Chiquita is a great way to include such a unique experience in Costa Rica. Beautiful views, interesting activities, and a friendly staff make this a truly memorable place.

A little inspiration for our friends on this ...We’ve just returned from a weekend getaway in Ireland, which included a fabulous stay at the luxury country house Ballyfin Demesne. Since it’s opening in 2011, the property has received nothing but positive feedback from its guests and we can see why! The 614 acre estate is the perfect retreat for a few days of pampering during an exploration throughout Ireland, or even just a visit on its own. With only 20 rooms you really feel like you’re coming to a home away from home rather than a traditional hotel. The food is delicious, the staff makes you feel like family, and the art & history throughout the manor feels like you’re stepping back in time. Ballyfin is not to be missed!

No visit to Sri Lanka would be complete without a few days in tea country. Not only were we able to learn about the delicate process of tea production, but also get out and see the countryside by foot. There are some great trails to explore along with biking, kayaking, and whitewater rafting. The highlight though, was staying at Ceylon Tea Trails. This collection of five bungalows is a member of Relais & Châteaux and the best address in the area. Each bungalow is intimate and inviting, with the amazing staff making you feel right at home. Are you ready for a visit?

Many travelers might not know, among many other things, Sri Lanka is a safari destination! Yala National Park is one of the largest in the country and offers a diverse range of wildlife spotting. We saw elephants, water buffalo, wild boars, and even the elusive leopard (just to name a few), before coming back to our unique surroundings at Chena Huts by Uga Escapes. Yes, Sri Lanka does have a little of everything!

We've had a wonderful weekend exploring the historic and cultural city of Galle, Sri Lanka. The Portuguese, Dutch, and British influence can be seen throughout the 16th century fort, where you can also find a variety of local shops and restaurants. And a visit to Galle isn't complete without a stay at the fabulous Amangalla...our wonderful hosts!

For those that need a little travel inspiration on this Friday, today is the day our friends at Château Saint-Martin & Spa open their doors for the season. This beautiful hillside retreat along the French Riviera is the perfect addition to a Southern France itinerary. The 32 acres of peaceful gardens provide incredible views along the Cote d'Azur, with an ideal location for exploring the many charming areas. Happy to our Oetker Collection friend!

We had a great time exploring including the unique exhibitions of MONA - Museum of Old and New Art and the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary which rehabilitates injured wildlife so they can be released back into their nature environment. should definitely be on your list when visiting !

We've had a wonderful few days exploring the Freycinet Peninsula in Eastern Tasmania. From hiking to see Wineglass Bay to an exclusive oyster tasting experience at Saffire Freycinet, this is a must see part of the island!

After catching up with our partners at Discover Tasmania today, we're looking forward to our visit this March even more! Tasmania has so much to offer for foodies, adventurists, and wildlife seekers, and it makes a perfect addition to time elsewhere in Australia or even New Zealand. This cold weather has us reminiscing about our days on the beach at Amanoi in Southern Vietnam. Not only was the the beach club peaceful and inviting, but the property itself makes for the perfect relaxing getaway! If you haven't already, it might be time to add to your 2017 travel list.
