Maybe circa early 2004ish? I had just turned 21!
I remember this wedding gown shoot because it was 2 day weekend job at a decadent mansion in Bel Air modeling lots and lots of big princess dresses (both Bridal and Quince 🤷🏻‍♀️).
After the last day wrapped, I went straight to a baby sitting job in Pacific Palisades. The little girl had a friend over so I showed them these and was like “look at this freakin fountain! Can you believe this thing?!!! Turned out.., it was the little friend’s home🤭. Her parents were BFF with the client and offered their residence for this location shoot. Only in LaLa Land!!!

As we roll into the 2024 wedding season, I still hold the “Before Social” Era near and dear to my heart. The times when you just did the best job you could and hoped people at the wedding saw it and called you. The mornings without pressure to content create for professional exposure. The joyful moments when after the makeup was finished, you took a selfie with a bride simply because she’s an exciting and beautiful celebrity to be in the presence of on her biggest day!!! 👰🏻‍♀️💄🤍

Weekend workflow that never feels like work!!! Thanks so much to for bringing her 💇🏻‍♀️game to the studio!!! It’s always a treat to have full on glam at hand for clients (myself being one 😉). Meet Erin!

Erin is an awesome babe/client/friend who’s been supplementing her makeup collection with my custom makeup since the ol loft days!!!

She is now off to Portugal with girlfriends and needed to restock and add on up a few new essentials!

This year we wanted to change things up a little from traditional bottle foundation & loose powder, so we worked together to design a custom Underpainting kit of crème foundations, blushes snd luminizers along with a cleanly formulated setting spray! She is really loving her skin like dimensionality using this technique and feels paletting all her essentials is great for her world travels!!! Here’s what she bought!

Kicking off my 1st Custom Client Feature!!!
Meet Poonsri! Her gorgeous daughter & long time friend of mine came by to get some Custom Blend Foundations made. Seeing I was catching up with Allyssa and meeting her mom for the 1st time I didn’t think to ask for before & after shots, but after seeing mom’s results they sent a “before” from camera roll along with the blessing to post!

Poonsri has naturally BEAUTIFUL complexion but as this beautiful thing called life evolves so can spots. It happens!!! 😎☀️She had a history of undergoing laser treatments in her native Thailand and while it did some corrective good, there were still some areas where she wanted additional coverage.

Her Oil Free Blend along with a Wise Disguise Concealer did the trick. Her skin is radiant and evenly toned without looking “makeupy” 😍.

Poonsri’s formula:
BASES - 10 ml thinner, 15 Oil Free Tan, 1 pump Ivory
Toners - 1 pump Bronze Pearl, 2 pumps Green, 1 pump Yellow, 1 drop yellow red.
Modifiers - 3 pumps Ultra Lipid Complex & 2 drops Oil Control

Concealer - Mocha

She (E) got a bigger and brighter makeover too! Absolutely thrilled with the first round of NEW labels for custom blend foundations, powders and various cosmetic tubes!!! So much thanks to my girl (and former bride 💄) who expertly collaborated with me to nail an easy chic vision for graphic design along with the fabulous team for executing all things label to launch!!! I am in luv with the new look!!! 💄😊

Meet my wonder wall of ultimate customization possibilities!!! During stints in previous studio spaces, my biggest observation was how fast surface spaces clutter with testers, disposables, and mirrors and how under utilized wall space is!!! By styling both ready to wear samples and the entire custom blend system on a wall, it’s way more efficient and fun to both custom blend and pull lipsticks and shadows for clients while having necessary space to work.

Soaking in some morning makeup studio light!!! After a 3 year hiatus, I’m excited to open doors to a newly redesigned and more efficient concept in my private retail practice! It’s my 5th space on this journey 🤭, but my favorite thus far for so many reasons.., most importantly I can see the best!!! 👀💄

Popped in the fabulous this afternoon for an on call hair/makeup colab sesh with my girl ! Our client is off to tonights Irish Fellowship Club Annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner (it’s swanky CHIrish stuff season) and we gave her a blowout and glowup for this elegant evening! Seeing this salon is a spacious and tranquil space for aesthetic creativity to flourish, I packed some of my Custom Blend Foundation system to perfectly match my clients complexion and make a sample for her to take home!!!
