This morning I was walking into Starbucks and opened the door for the gentleman that was coming behind me. I insisted he go first and he thanked me. I also let him order before me. When the Barista asked him if he wanted anytihng else, he turned and insisted he pay for my order. After an exchange, I finally caved in and hesitantly ordered. We got talking and guess what..... it turned his name is Darrien Staples, manager at JClight (Benjamin Moore Paints) on Irving Park (4230 W Irving Park Rd.
Chicago, IL 60641)! The irony is that they are our go-to specified paint and location for our projects!!! Small world! So like I was telling my daughter this morning, just be yourself, be good to others no matter what, and thinks will be ok. Thank you Darrien for paying it forward (I write this as I enjoy the coffee), and I will continue to do so today and every other day!
