Throughout three and a half years of the Synod on Synodality, the key topic that keeps arising in all synod discussions is co-responsibility. If we are going to acknowledge fully the missionary calling of all baptized members, what does it look like now? What might it grow into? We who have been living co-responsibility each day in our jobs have many thoughts on this topic, don’t we?
National Association for Lay Ministry NALM invites your participation in the Synod’s discussion on co-responsibility. Share insights on acknowledging the missionary calling of baptized members. Free registration.
LAST DAY TO REGISTER:

The Catholic Apostolate Center, a ministry of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate (Pallottines) - Immaculate Conception Province, was founded in 2011 to respond to the needs of the Church through: developing, in collaboration with dioceses and other institutions and organizations, formation programs for the New Evangelization; assisting pastoral ministers in deepening collaboration with one another; and providing formation and apostolic opportunities for members and collaborators of the Union of Catholic Apostolate. We know we are called to use the principles of synodality in our everyday ministry, but what does that look like, practically? Join Vicky Hathaway later today in one of our Spring Assembly workshops, Together on the Journey: Living Synodality in Ministry, where we will discuss how to use the skill of spiritual listening in our ministry and how intentionally bringing the Holy Spirit into meetings and gatherings can bring about a deeper renewal of service to one another. https://www.nalm.org/page/SpringAssembly23
Lay pastoral leaders today are challenged to build a listening church in diverse settings, including in shared parishes where two or more cultural, racial, or ethnic groups share the parish. Across the Church in the US, pastoral leaders have to listen not only to a Catholicism expressed in familiar ways but also in different cultural idioms. This often happens in environments where the inequalities and tensions of the larger society disrupt parish life. Join Dr. Brett Hoover tomorrow in one of our Spring Assembly workshops, “Building a Listening Church in Diverse Parishes” where he will not only unpack the situation but propose everyday ways in which pastoral leaders can build bridges across groups.
Spring Assembly - National Association for Lay Ministry Join us as we explore the practical ways and ideas we can use in our places of ministry, as we continue our journey on the synodal path.
