During the recent downtime due to COVID we have taken the opportunity to refresh the look of our studios.

The Doves are back in town. Unseasonably early. We have named them Gable and Eave.

The Doves were checking out the nest again “a bit early”, but unseasonably warm. We are naming them Gable and Eave.

The robin chicks have flown and we are now empty nesters.

So excited the Uptown Theatre just a mile south of Magnolia Studios is undergoing a $75million renovation, one of the most magnificent venues in the US.

We had a couple of students from the Chicago Mosaic School stay with us last week. I didn't realize just what a prestigious school it was until on student who had traveled from the UK explained that there wre only two choices a school in Italy or the CMS in Chicago.

Fantastic new Indian restaurant just open up around the corner. We haven't had a chance to go yet, but the reviews a uniformly oustanding. Can't wait. 3 new restaurants (Mango Pickle, Income Tax Bar and Growling Robbit) in the last couple of months, a great start to to 2017.
