If you were visiting a Latin American country and ordered a pionono, chances are they’d make them differently everywhere. In Spain, a pionono is a sweet treat made to look like a cinnamon roll. In Puerto Rico, a pionono is a sweet plantain cup filled with meat in the middle. Try a pionono the Amaru way: sweet plantains filled with chorizo and wrapped in bacon topped with a jalapeño for an extra kick. 🌶️
