This summer we’ve had a chance to lead a kids summer camp where boys and girls met weekly with one of our leaders and engaged in art projects, learned about God’s love, took music lessons, and had fun together.

📝 One of the projects at our Community Center is also to assist kids with their school homework. Here is what a mother said:

“My children were failing in school and their grades were bad, but their academic and educational situation improved steadily when they started going to the Living With Power schooling program. Specially my son who did not like school... He is now more than happy to learn and be part of this program. I really thank you all who are running these schooling lessons.”

My favorite human on the planet has a big birthday today. Happy birthday to my sister . If you follow this ministry you might not know that Diana runs our operations and donor relations. She is a prayer warrior and the most disciplined person I know. Mostly, though, she has put up with me for the last 50 years. That’s a lot. I’m grateful for God for putting her in my life.

In moments of pain and struggle, it’s natural to question God’s goodness and wonder why. But Genesis 50:20 reminds us that God remains unfazed by evil and has the power to transform even the darkest circumstances into opportunities for good, ultimately bringing salvation to many lives.

Joseph was able to forgive his brothers for the pain they caused him because he had a higher vision of God for his life.

𝗙𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗢𝗪 𝗨𝗣: What’s the solution to sexual sin in the church, and how can we live holy in a culture that isn’t – especially as singles??

I believe a big part of the solution to our purity issues is a robust church – the church-as-family vision of the New Testament is a key part of what makes extended or lifelong singleness possible (the Christianity Today article mentions this). Additionally, a discipleship model that encourages individuals to seek the love of Christ above all else is essential.

But we have a church with a cancer…

Until we build churches that welcome singles and people with sexual baggage as brothers and sisters in Christ,

Until we form churches that treat one another as family,

Until we stop using churches as a country club or corporation and go back to Christ’s vision of a church as a community built on love and integrity, there won’t be a place for singles to flourish the way Christ intended.

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝘅 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺.

For those who don’t have a spouse or children to meet their needs – relational, emotional, material – the church should (and historically has) filled in the gap.
