2020 Mont de Milieu 1er Cru Chablis
Special wines from a very special place made by a winemaker with a singular vision. Can’t wait to share three vintages of Peter Veyder-Malberg’s Bruck Riesling - 2019/2020/2022. The stunning site is visible in the first two photos, across the valley from his home and winery. We’ll also have 2022 Hochrain Gruner and Brandstatt Riesling open because they’re so damn good.
It’s Mallory’s last ! 😢
Come see her off in style and meet Wendy Wilson, the very talented winemaker behind Le Soula, a biodynamic estate focusing on high elevation vineyards in Southwest France.
Summer on a plate. Local melon and corn, guajillo chile and crispy house cured guanciale. Grab a spot on the patio and treat yourself.
Tonight we are thrilled to host Hans Rebholz of the venerable Rebholz estate in the Pfalz. Hans is working with his brother and father to make world class wines from biodynamically farmed old-vine vineyards spanning the greatest terroirs in the South Pfalz.
For we are featuring estate wines as well as the rare opportunity to taste the Ganzhorn and Kastanienbusch GG Rieslings side by side, two of the great dry Rieslings of the world from completely different sites.
Lots of new seasonal dishes on the menu this week.
Grilled green beans with lentils, bread crumbs, guajillo crema, dill
Carrot Sformato, guanciale, pea shoots
Local tomatoes, beets, and cherries, pistachio, herb ricotta, balsamic beet puree, mint
House Sausage, grainy Dijon, potato and corn salad
Another rare Tuesday appearance from John and sadly one of the last of hundreds of Tuesdays at TDS for Mallory who is moving next month!
Also, some longtime favorites from and our friend whose presence we’ve missed on the other side of the bar since she left Chicago.
Carrot Sformato is also back after a hiatus and is a brilliant pairing with Timorasso. Come try!
Doors and patio are open and we’d love to see your face!
Hard not to smile at the memory of these glorious vineyards and world class wines, even two years after visiting them. Excited to check on these wines for and share them with you!

Hard to believe it’s been 5 years since we last hosted one of our favorite winemakers at TDS. Since this photo was taken in April 2019, Drake and Matt became fathers within days of each other, right around the time the whole world shut down. It feels good to welcome Drake back tonight with a lineup including single vineyard Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, a mini vertical of Grenache and Drake’s backyard vineyard cuvee. Hope you can join!
Hand made carrot & chickpea tortellacci with ‘nduja cream, hazelnuts and basil.
We’re pretty sure weissburgunder, schnitzel, and our patio make an amazing combination. But we’re going to test the hypothesis tomorrow with wines from three of the most exciting producers in Germany right now. If you’re feeling more snacky, our new happy hour schnitzel sandwiches are $11 at the bar till 7pm! Either way it’s going to be a lot of fun.
Come in and let Marlo pour you a fascinating pair of red burgundies at just $10/pour while they last.
Spring is here
We’re rolling out new happy hour specials for both food and drink. Starting with this schnitzel sandwich with beurre blanc, capers and crunchy cabbage on house foccaccia for $11. We recommend pairing with a $15 glass of grower champagne. And yes we still have $12 burgers for happy hour too.
Patio reservations are open! See you soon ♥️
Hard to fathom that it’s been over 8 years since we poured a vertical of Fief du Breil Muscadet with Jo Landron, but that first shot is from March of 2016. We’ll be pouring 2015 and both 2017+2018 from magnum for this week. Let us know if we’ve aged as gracefully as the wines.
Slagel Farms steak, wild rice, charred onion, parsnip puree, chimichurri. New tonight!
This bar turns 10 years old today. Thank you to everyone who has spent time on both sides of it this past decade and made TDS what it is. We’re pouring some special wines from the 2014 vintage to mark the occasion. Scroll to see tonight’s wines and some pictures from way back. Hope to see you soon!
If you’re wondering, TDS opened in 2012, but there was no bar until April 2014.
