The historic Culbertson Hall renovation project featuring mechanical system upgrades, as well as a complete overhaul of rooms, lobbies, kitchens, restrooms and other spaces is complete! This project has been part of Moody’s ongoing “home improvement” projects, which are strategic investments in our infrastructure as well as the beautification of our campus.

Alumni Mike Pawletki and Santiago Valentin both serve as chaplains for Corporate Chaplains of America and get to walk with employees through challenges like sickness and death, marriage problems, children addicted to drugs, financial matters—“all the problems of humanity.” 🙏

By the end of a typical morning, Mike has visited nearly 100 employees in his role as a chaplain, saying, “You’d be surprised how the Lord works on the side of a truck.”

Santiago’s life experience as a Moody-trained, married man and father of five has served him well as he counsels and cares for more than 900 employees from eight companies that he visits each week.

Both men feel called and equipped for this work through the Bible and ministry training they received at Moody.

As followers of Jesus, we too have a family story. We have been rescued from our slavery to sin and forgiven by God (Rom. 6:1–14). We have been adopted into God’s family as His sons and daughters (Rom. 8:14–17). We have a new citizenship in Heaven (Phil. 3:20). And one day, we will be raised with Christ and reign with Him (1 Cor. 15:20–28)!

So much to be thankful for… ✨☺️🎡🙌🍔🍉🤝🎯🙏

Reminiscing about all the fun and fellowship shared at our week-long Employee Appreciation Week held earlier this summer on our Chicago campus.

Each day had a different appreciation focus (appreciating your peers, leaders, different departments/teams and unsung heroes) and fun theme days including sports and twinning.

With daily opportunities to write cards and share with colleagues why we’re thankful for one another, we were able to live out the calling in Ephesians 5 to give thanks for God for all things and live in unity of the Spirit.

The week culminated in a shared worship time and message from our president, capped off with an employee picnic and indoor Plazapalooza with carnival prizes and double dutch fun! 🎉🎉

God is still at work, transforming sinners and bringing them to repentance today. What are some ways, which you can see, that God has changed you as a result of your relationship with Him?
