Get to know the man behind gold star dining at The Clare: Chef Hagop! 🍽️🌟

We recently had a chance to sit down with Chef Hagop and learn more about his culinary inspirations, resident favorites, and cooking techniques. Read on to see what we found out! ⬇️

Chef Hagop was inspired to become a chef because of his love for food, interacting and teaching others with the same passion, and pushing his creativity, mind, and body beyond limits he thought were possible.

He shared that residents enjoy seasonal dishes such as corn soup with scallops in the summer, Halibut with spring peas, morels and ramps during the springtime, and braised dishes with mashed potatoes and glazed root vegetables during the colder winter months.

He also dove into his love of working with seasonal produce, using all parts of the animal, and incorporating art into pastries, confectioneries, and ice.

Chef Hagop truly brings a one-of-a-kind dining experience to our community! We are so grateful to have him on our team.

As the school year comes to a close, The Clare wants to thank our partner, , for another terrific school year! Every Wednesday, a group of Clare Residents head to a local elementary school to read with kindergarten students. This mentorship aims to build book and print awareness and letter and sound recognition skills. This school year marks eight years of Clare Residents volunteering, and we couldn't be more proud to support such a great organization!
