Exsalonce Salon

The Salon marketing and business development is an integral role to the success and future growth of Exsalonce Salon. You will be responsible for driving internal & external growth initiatives, executing quarterly marketing initiatives to solidify our brand, mentoring all employees, and being the image of the salon. We have proven processes established, so that many tasks become manageable to be successful in many different verticals & mindsets. Below are the components that should be adapted for success in this role.

Being Results Oriented
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for individual and team results related to sales, service and 100% ex*****on of the 12 Points of Difference.
• Execute the goals and timelines set forth by you & the owner on individual, team and company goals including monthly retail and service goals as well as all major benchmarks
• Support the owner in developing avenues to drive sales – service & retail.
• Manage invested quarterly campaigns, from ex*****on to metrics.
• Leadership on the floor – minimum of 85% of scheduled hours to lead the team in service, supervision of networking events, sales and other retail activities.
• Grow partnership with schools and local businesses
• Communicates individual productivity (focus = front line) using company benchmarks to coach and hold others accountable. Facilitate HR processes with stylists.
• Communicates confidently with all levels of the organization as it relates to overall business.

Team Development
• Assist the owner in ensuring the entire team has a strong working knowledge of the retail product lines
• Communicate and train on new product launches and events
• Build and nurture relationships with all team members
• Delegate work and projects to recognize and strengthen the skills of others
• Assist the owner in recruiting new team members when necessary
• Address and coach individuals on the team as issues arise in relation to performance and adherence to company policies and expectations
• Ensure all employees are attending all mandatory meetings and educational trainings
• Project Exsalonce Salon and the brand through non-verbal communication (i.e. following all policies and procedures 100%)

Leadership
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and expectations as outlined in Exsalonce Salon Handbook.
• Maintain a cohesive, cooperative environment through team building and motivation. No cliques!
• Display a general positive attitude, high energy to team and guests.
• Display reliability by being punctual and prepared for each scheduled shift.
• Encourage and listen to stylists’ ideas for building business and improving results.
• Encourage and support career advancement, in the team by developing and coaching their talents.
• Remain positive in the face of change. There are many fires in this industry!

Operations
• Initiate, plan and execute events in the salon to drive sales & draw in new and existing guests.
• Responsible for coaching against our goal to “Never Say No”.
• Communication of all guest complaints to manager for resolution.
• Execute merchandising changes / new product launches in the salon
• Develop a front-line schedule that meets budget requirements.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the salon / spa / retail floor and all related areas at all times. (to include light bulbs, bathrooms, hospitality list, storage areas, salon, spa and retail floors). Able to delegate.
• Responsible for all front-line training around operational procedures & management of front-line educational needs.

Other duties as assigned.

Exsalonce is a high end salon in the heart of Roscoe Village, located right on Roscoe and Leavitt. There is heavy street traffic and lots of shops nearby. Here at Exsalonce we are looking for trained established Hair Stylists and newly graduated Stylists/Assistants to train and join our team. We are located right in Roscoe Village and are easy for people to get to by driving or taking the CTA.

Exsalonce is looking for skilled and enthusiastic stylists who are self-motivated, along with a goal-oriented and positive outlook. Our Stylists provide exceptional service that show off their own style as well as what we represent here at Exsalonce. We believe that all clients should always leave with a smile on their face and hair that they can always tell their friends about.

Qualifications:
-Valid IL State Cosmetology License required
-1-2 years of salon experience preferred, for established Stylists
-Able to communicate well with clients, as well as coworkers
-Exceptional Customer Service Skills
-Strong work ethic
-Work well in a face paced environment
-Be willing to learn and grow with the salon

Responsibilities:
-Communicate with clients to help achieve and deliver their desired cut, color and style
-Assist in helping not only your client base grow but helping the salon grow as well
-Use and suggest proper treatments, color and products specific to each client
-Assist management with maintaining not only your station but the salon as well
