This month we wanted to give a special shout out to our Clubhouse Star for the month for April: Marshall! ⭐️

Here is what Marshall's therapist, Jessica, had to say about him:

"Marshall is such a joy to work with in his physical therapy sessions! He is so sweet, bright, and resilient when working through physical challenges in his sessions. Marshall has been working on gait training and using his Moxie gait trainer to take steps to explore his environment. More recently, he has started taking reciprocal steps in the gait trainer with the therapist only assisting to gently move the frame forward.

One of Marshall’s greatest motivators is his water table. He is very ambitious with taking steps whenever he sees the water table come out! He also works especially hard while engaging in a variety of core strengthening exercises on the yoga ball and doing sit-to-stand’s to help build his strength. I’m so lucky to work with Marshall and his family, and I’ve been extremely impressed with the growth and progress he’s been making in therapy!"

Keep up the great work, Marshall—we're so proud of your growth!

Congratulations to December's Star of the Month: Austin! ⭐️

Here is what Austin's therapist, Jessica, had to say about him: "Austin is a complete superstar and has been working on using his eye gaze communication device to make choices while he wears his TLSO (a special brace to provide support to his trunk). Austin loves his new Tonies for his TonieBox toy, and this has been a huge motivator for him to communicate with his device while holding his head in midline.

Austin has also been a champion with switch toys, using his head to activate the switch and play with some of his awesome dinosaur toys in his therapy sessions. Austin works so hard in PT and Speech, and I'm so proud of him for sharing his favorite Tonie characters with me! His smile is so contagious, he has the best sense of humor, and I'm so lucky to work with such an awesome friend!"

They submitted the two amazing pumpkins featured front and center, but we also wanted to thank everyone else who participated and showcase their incredible pumpkin masterpieces as well.

We hope you had fun with one of our favorite spooky season activities and we wish you all a safe and fun Halloween night! 👻

Our Clubhouse All-Star for the month of October is Kali! ⭐️

Here's why Kali's SLP, Michaela, nominated her this month: "Kali started speech therapy over the summer to work on her speech articulation skills. When she started, she was not aware of her speech sound errors and had difficulty saying some of her trickier sounds by themselves and in short words. Kali has made so much progress over the past few months, and those sounds that used to be tricky for her to say she can now use in sentences!

She is also doing such a great job using her academic and listening skills to be able to tell what sounds should be used in a particular word, and she is able to self-correct her articulation errors if she realizes she used the wrong sound with barely any help from me at all. Kali is always very determined to come to speech having practiced at home over the week to show me all the progress she has made in between sessions. Kali is a hard worker and is determined to meet her goals, and it shows in how much progress she has made so far!"

Amazing work, Kali—way to go!💪
