#MemorialDay is a time to honor and remember all the people who have fought and given their lives for our country, for our freedom. It's a moment for us to reflect on the values of courage, selflessness, and patriotism. We are also reminded of our clients in Thresholds' Veterans Project, people living with serious mental health and substance use conditions after serving our country. Today, we think of you and your families with sincere gratitude. We also want to give a special thanks to all of the Thresholds staff who are working today. While some of us spend time with loved ones and enjoy the unofficial start of summer, many of our staff are working this holiday, keeping our clients happy, healthy, and safe. Thank you! #memorialdayweekend #MemorialDay2024 #HonorAndRemember #veterans

Julian's Story: The Future is Bright
May is Mental Health Awareness Month! 💚 While Thresholds has made significant strides in the past 65 years, the urgent need for action persists, with over 57 million Americans affected by mental illness each year. But with your support, we can continue to expand our reach, providing lifesaving services to people who need it most. Take Julian, for example. In 2021, he found himself grappling with untreated mental health issues, feeling lost and overwhelmed by repeated depressive episodes. But everything changed when Julian discovered the caring support and guidance offered at Thresholds. In our Young Adult Program, Julian formed meaningful connections with both professionals and peers, reconnecting with not only his family but also with himself. Watch Julian's story below and follow along with us all month long as we start important conversations, combat stigma, offer support, and push for policy change, empowering individuals and communities along the way. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #MentalHealthMonth

Happy holidays from all of us at Thresholds! ⭐️

Happy Thanksgiving!
We are grateful for our loving, supportive and generous community. From our staff to our board to the clients we serve every day, we have so much to be thankful for. #happythanksgiving

Veterans of past conflicts represent 8% of the total U.S. population, yet 30% of the homeless population. Currently, government funding serves only 1 of 10 #veterans in need. Integrating our award-winning, evidence-based practices and strategic partnerships, the Thresholds Veterans Project includes homeless outreach, housing services, supported employment, peer-driven supports, substance use treatment, integrated physical and mental health services, and trauma-based therapies. This #veteransday we honor and thank all who have served. Hear more about our program from one of Thresholds’ Veterans Project clients in this video from our partners at the McCormick Foundation.

Thresholds 2023 Gala: The Power of Peers
Today (and each third Thursday in October) is Global Peer Support Celebration Day (GPSCD), an annual celebration of peer supporters, peer support, and recognizing their work in helping their peers with mental health, substance use, and/or trauma-related challenges move along the continuum of recovery and inclusion. Peer support services are a key piece of Thresholds' recovery model. Through our Peer Support program, clients receive services from staff with their own lived experiences. This type of service facilitates a deeper level of trust and support, helping clients on their journey to recovery. Earlier this year, at our annual gala, we highlighted the power of peers, showcasing these unique services and telling the incredible stories of some of our clients and staff. You can learn more about our peer services here: https://bit.ly/3Q1dDxT #globalpeersupportcelebrationday #peersupport #PeerSupportServices #mentalhealth #thepowerofpeers
