At ACCIONA Energía, we understand the importance of both summer reading and a smooth transition back to the classroom. That’s why we teamed up with Bess the Book Bus to support reading programs in Illinois, Ohio and Texas to bridge the gap between summer fun and back-to-school readiness. Together we provided books to approximately 400 young readers in the communities near our solar farms! Let’s celebrate the joys of summer reading and the promise of a new school year!

ACCIONA Energía invests in the development of our workforce and the communities in which we operate by supporting local, small businesses. In this video we meet two young engineers who manage electrical and mechanical work taking place during construction and a local restauranteur who helps us feed this workforce. ACCIONA Energía’s High Point Solar Farm is located within the company’s existing EcoGrove Wind Farm, making this ACCIONA Energía’s first hybrid solar and wind project in the United States! The project will employ more than 250 people at peak construction and once completed it will add 100 MW of clean energy capacity to the Illinois grid.

Check out this sneak peek of our Fort Bend PV Plant (317MWp). The plant will go live in 2023 and once operational will avoid the annual emission of 400,000 tons of CO2. It features 589,456 photovoltaic panels placed on 458.3 miles of tracker structures. +info: https://lnkd.in/gU-FxAtX
