Babies flail and kick to create a frame of reference for their boundaries. They perceive the environment in relation to their body. It is the foundation of how we humans experienced the world around us. As things happen to us in our lives, we can start to detach from this vital frame of reference, and we can lose our ability to assess situation to accurately or connect with people around us. Meet Carrie, the second half of the Comfy Fitness founding partnership! Carrie’s background in dance, right up to studying Musical Theater at NYU, engendered a disciplined relationship with her body. After becoming a personal trainer (where she and Kira met), Carrie began a personal journey into healing chronic pain that also addressed something she noticed her clients were experiencing. The gaps in traditional fitness can’t fix many deeply embedded issues.
