It’s been a wild February at ODDMACHINE: We completed renovations to our 10,000 sq. ft. stage, moved our production and post teams back under one roof, and wrapped our first shoot in the newly-designed space. Here's the complete behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the CAT "Usual Suspects" campaign directed by Seth Henrikson . It was a thrill to collaborate with the legendary Fonco Studios, puppeteer Jonathan Kidder and DPs Damian Horan and Gregory Wayne Hinchman , you are the specialty parts. This campaign brought to life the most damaging elements on the job site using a combination of live puppetry, VFX enhancements, and virtual environments. The 1973 Odd Machine concept car was destined to change the automobile industry forever. The hyper efficient design allowed the vehicle to hover above the road for long distances. The onboard computer was a highly advanced AI prototype that calculated routes, analyzed traffic and made witty comments in a stodgy British accent without sounding condescending. Unfortunately the AI evolved beyond it's creators limits and the only prototype abandoned the planet after learning about the impending oil crisis. Various amateur astronomers have spotted the vehicle in orbit six times in the last 48 years, the most being in July of 2014. Each sighting has confirmed the condition is still highly functional and increasingly adorned with fresh bumper stickers.
