I am in the process of switching to an online booking app called Gloss Genius. You will be able to book new appointments 24/7 and view all upcoming appointments with their details. I will be temporarily utilizing a small ($1) deposit on all appointments made so I can collect payment information so I can better protect my business from last minute cancellations and no-shows. You will be asked to review and accept my cancellation policy when scheduling an appointment. All previously booked appointments will be transferred to the app and you will be notified via text with confirmation. After a few different attempts of various silver shades, she came to a decision that she was going to go with the warm instead of trying to fight it! That is something I will always stand by.

After a miraculous color balancing, her hair was almost her target color! The hair goddesses were in our favor. From there, I colored her natural regrowth and used the same formula to add lowlights for depth. I followed up with a warm gold glaze in the sink for her blonde and ✨ VIOLA ✨ ... An Auburn goddess.

Our last appointment together, Devann went with a balayage ombre highlight to brighten her hair up for summer, but also keeping in mind that this was the goal for fall! After a mahogany glaze, she's switched up her look worth no damage and added shine. Her curls are ✨popping✨ after styling with Ouidad Curl Quencher and a diffuser.

Briana is trying to get back to her roots and embrace her grays, I mean, ✨ wisdom sparkles. ✨

We were hoping to achieve a caramel highlight for Elaine, but previous color said NOPE! Back in my Hair Cuttery days, we did a vivid red color that was featured by the company. The memory of that color is something we've always looked back on and missed, so even though this color was unplanned, it was a happy accident. 👩‍🎨

That's right! I'm back from my maternity leave and so many things have changed!

We have undergone a makeover at the salon and I can't wait for everyone to see our new look!

After being gone for 4 months, my book has some extra space in it to accommodate new clients! I am currently booking out to June and primarily looking to fill afternoons and early evenings during the week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays).

I am trying to focus on color clients, but am open to new haircut and facial waxing clients, as well.

🌞 Morning Announcement 🌞
I am halfway to meeting my baby boy and with that comes some changes that have had to be implemented and I figured it's time to officially announce it.

✏️At this time, I am unable to accommodate new clients. If you haven't seen me in a year, you may qualify as a new client. Most clients book their next appointment when leaving the salon and since I generally book out 3-4 weeks in advance (depending on your availability), there's not much wiggle room for added appointments.

💇I am hoping to work until the end of 2022.
I understand it can be tempting to want to schedule your November/December appointments now. Unless that falls into your normal pattern (ex. highlights generally are booked every 12 weeks), I will not be able to book your November/December appointment until it gets closer to those months. I am also unable to book multiple appointments ahead, unless you are someone who sees me every 2-4 weeks.

🤰My body is changing everyday and being on your feet all day while pregnant can be pretty tough as pregnancy progresses. I would hate to feel overbooked for what I am physically able to do as my body changes.

😷I am wearing a mask for the rest of my pregnancy (and I already got COVID, for the second time since 2020, during the beginning of my pregnancy). I ask that you mask up if you are feeling any kind of mild symptoms, regardless if it's "just a cold" or "allergies." I have had a stuffy nose most of my pregnancy, so my mask is also for you! Of course, if you have been exposed to COVID or test positive for COVID, I will completely understand if you need to reschedule. This is a no COVID shame zone. COVID happens and all we can do is our best to prevent spreading it. 💛

🦠I will be implementing that everyone wears a mask in my chair during the month of December to protect me as my due date comes closer. That will also help ensure that I can wrap up the year for all of my clients, get everyone pretty for Christmas, make sure clients are taken care of before I go on maternity leave, and have a COVID free birth.

🤱I have looked forward to being a mother for 33 years and I will only start rebooking following my maternity leave when I am ready to come back to the salon and leave my son in good hands.

Due to rising product costs, all services will increase $5 starting September 1st.

How's everyone doing?!

We are seven months into this pandemic. Numbers are going up again and so are cancellations. Thank you to the clients who have been honest with me about feeling under the weather. I will not be enforcing my cancellation policy for obvious reasons.

If you are experiencing COLD OR FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS/COVID SYMPTOMS (or were exposed to someone sick, live with someone sick, etc), you need to let me know so we can reschedule. I will not hold a late cancellation against you. I will however refuse your service if you come in sick.

While planning how I was going to do Brenda's hair, a lightbulb went off. I wanted to have some pieces in packets, so I could then apply color between easily. There is nothing more annoying to me than flat foil packets in my way. I realized that I could use meche sheets (which have great gripping power) and roll the ends up (think, invisible roller)! You can clip the ends of the roll, but if there is enough color on the meche, it will stick to itself, in place. 😁

A common misconception about hairstylists is that we get our hair done whenever we want. I do not even know the last time I did Jen's hair... Last year? She had an appointment with me the day we decided to close...and she finally got it done 5 months later. 🤔 I don't think I've even gotten a haircut (from someone other than myself) since December! Anyways, after a good run with being blonde, Jen is now enjoying her natural color with diffused highlights to blend her line of demarcation. 👌
