Yesterday we discussed the dangers of chocolate, but what about fruits & veggies? There are in fact lots of options that are safe for your furry companion, but a few that are off limits as well!

Below is another helpful and informative chart detailing what's safe and what's not, along with a guide for how to prepare them, guidance for those who have never eaten any fruits or veggies, and how to help with those finicky eaters! Fruits and veggies can be a wonderful and healthy substitute for the average dogs treats, which can contain lots of hidden calories

12/27/2023

With the holidays in full swing, you might have gotten some yummy chocolate in your stocking, but is it safe to share with your pet? Unfortunately, it is not. Chocolate can be toxic to dogs, even a little nibble!

The chart below from the ASPCA is a wonderful breakdown of why chocolate is toxic, what signs to watch for, and how much it too much.

If you ever have concerns that your pet ingested chocolate, please give us a call

New Years is right around the corner, and with that comes fireworks! While they are fun, festive, and beautiful to watch, sometimes our furry companions can become scared, stressed, and worst-case scenario, runaways.
Please take proper precautions and keep your pet indoors where they are safe, and if needed, you can utilize a crate for additional safety.
We also have HomeoPet drops available for purchase at our office. These all natural, homeopathic drops can help ease the anxiety pets feel during fireworks.
