We KNOW it can be hard to muster any sort of excitement the day after ANY long holiday weekend...especially one that signals the unofficial end of summer fun! But, EVERY day holds promise, and reminds us to embrace the opportunities ahead!

Our ideas of "labor" can often be limited...picturing someone who commonly falls under the heading of "laborers." Yet, we ALL labor. We use the specific tools of our trade. We often work long hours. We even work with our hands, some treating the sick or preparing a feast or typing on a computer keyboard. So, for ALL who labor, take a break & enjoy your "labor-free" !

We ALL need a bit of time to reflect, to be introspective, to take stock & evaluate. It's NOT "narcissistic" or "egotistical"...it's NECESSARY for growth and should be a part of your regular self-maintenance routine! And, there's no better time to start, than !

Some days, it feels as if would be easier to just throw in the towel. However, you MAY just need a guide on the path to success...in your career AND life! Someone who can help you define your goals, who can give you the tools, who can focus your vision and aspire to greater heights! Naturally, as professional massage therapists, we would have a STRONG interest in ! This gave us the PERFECT opportunity to indulge our inner "word nerd"...which proved quite enlightening: "The word 'relaxation' comes from the Old French 'relaxacion' and the Latin 'relaxatio' 1. The word is derived from the Latin 're-' meaning 'back' and 'laxus' meaning 'loose'" WOAH...we couldn't have said it better ourselves!

CONGRATULATIONS...you have reached the next chapter of your life! No, life does not end when you begin to draw those monthly Social Security payments! It's a chance to ENJOY those years ahead. And, to make sure you ARE healthy enough to make the most of them, is a reminder that often supplemental Medicare plans will cover therapeutic massages by a LMT!

As you wind down the weekend activities & began to prepare for the upcoming week, take note of ! Although a bit "ill-timed" for a Sunday, it DOES provide an important reminder...along with the fact that maintaining your MEDICAL health includes being mindful of both your MENTAL health & practicing SELF-CARE!

As the sun slowly slips below the horizon, what do you see when you look up? Chances are you're NOT seeing everything! With increasing "light pollution" it has become more & more difficult to see the galactic wonders of the night sky. Instead of just settling in for the night, consider spending the evening REALLY looking at the night sky & even join !

No longer the smiling, long-suffering "June Cleaver" in heels, pearls & lace aprons, TODAY'S moms face a 24/7 barrage of responsibilities & expectations...and usually do it while maintaining their cool! They certainly earn their pay! Oh...yeah...right. And that's what seeks to highlight. However, we're PRETTY sure moms wouldn't mind receiving part of their compensation package in the form of relaxing, healthful, REGULAR, massages!

If you've been cheering – and ADMIRING – the feats of those Olympic competitors, you may dream of winning your own "gold!" Obviously, these athletes have trained for years...if not decades. And that conditioning not only includes countless hours of practice, but can bet that ALSO includes body work on those sore muscles & stress! So, even though you may not be ready to take a place on the winners' podium, you CAN reach heights in your own life...with the help of a professional massage!
