Our Story
Hi! I’m Sofia, a grateful believer who belongs to Jesus, a wife to my college sweetheart William, and a mama to my girls Ava Grace and Ruby Elise. I am a creative with a passion for baking, for as long as I can remember.
Baking is something I believe I picked up from the women in my family. It reminds me of family and how things used to be. My sweet, sweet, Granny owned her own doughnut shop, my Momma is a bakery manager and would also do cakes from home for us for our birthdays. One year she made me a cupcake cake that was a giant frog. He was the. cutest. frog. ever! My sister and I would pretend we had our own cooking show called “Sweet Sisters” where we would bake things and teach others how to bake. Back then all we really did was laugh our heads off, make a mess, and make simple cake mix cookies. I had an easy bake oven that I used every. single. day! Until the tongs broke and I could no longer take the cakes out of the oven. I sure loved that thing. I dreamed of having my own bakery/coffee shop since I was a little girl, but it was only a dream... I never imagined it could one day be my reality.
In January of 2017, a friend encouraged me to start the business I kept talking about and She signed me up to do the cupcakes for her son’s birthday. I did the cupcakes, word of mouth spread, I started my little page called Honeycakes, and here I am today - working hard to make that dream of owning my own bakery/coffee shop become a reality.
My mission is to serve you sweet treats while you celebrate life’s sweet moments. You enjoy those birthday parties and events and let me take care of the baking. It’s my passion!
