We wanted something natural but at the same time we wanted to be able to tell she got her hair done!

We decided to go with a beige toner as we were stuck between wanting to stay over to the cool side or the warm side, this color was definitely made for her!

I’m not one to post “rants” on Facebook but this has gone on long enough and it’s seriously really sad that people think it’s acceptable to do these type of things.

At the salon including myself we’ve notice plenty of people who will book appointments, confirm them, tell you that they’re on their way and then proceed to not show up to their appointment and completely ghost the stylist.
I can not express this enough but it’s absolutely DISGUSTING it is to mess with someone’s pay, their livelihood etc.

Effective IMMEDIATELY:
New clients are now required to put a card on file. This card will NOT be charged unless you cancel within 48 hours or not show to the appointment

48 hours or less will be charged 50% of service

“Now Shows” will be charged 100% of service

New or existing clients who want hair extensions install will now be required to put down a $100 non refundable deposit which will go towards your install appointment

Color corrections are now required to pay a $100 non refundable deposit, which will go towards your appointment

I can not express enough how distasteful it is to mess with someone’s job, their money, etc.

No shows will not be tolerated if you don’t show to your appointment you will be blacklisted and you will NOT be welcomed back to the salon

I’m looking for some people who would like to get weft hair extensions installed for FREE I’m wanting to grow in this area so please bare with me as I’m LEARNING

I know I put this out there before but I feel like I should be more specific:

•Client must be okay with having photos or videos taken of them

•If client wants their hair a different color or blonding done that is a whole different service and that will be a normal charge.

•All I’m asking if you pay for the hair yourself, if you want to buy the hair through my supplier you can, but please note it can be on the more expensive side because this is REAL HUMAN HAIR meaning you can style it, wash it, blow it dry, curl it etc.

•if you want to buy your own hair through a different supplier or website you are more than welcome to but please note that I’m not responsible for the hair and how long it last and how it handles being styled, color, etc.

•LASTLY, I shouldn’t have to say this considering we’re all adults but if you’re going to “ghost” me after the consultation please don’t bother messaging me, I have taken time out of my day to do FREE consultation and have even offered people discounts on the hair itself through my supplier, I don’t have time for childish games when I can have actual serious clients in my chair who want to take advantage of this deal, if it’s not in your budget or you’re not longer interested please just be honest with me, I’m not going to judge as hair extensions are not meant for everyone.

A little different than what I normally post but sometimes I feel like as people in the beauty industry or any industry for that matter we do need these gentle reminders.

Today is World Mental Health Day.
In our industry we obviously cater to the public. It’s our job to make them feel beautiful, rather if it’s hair, nails, lash extensions, etc. Sometimes I feel like we’re so busy taking care of other people that we forget to take care of ourselves, and most of us realize it when we finally hit that brick wall. This industry can be so cut throat, and no matter how hard many of us try to keep this industry as positive and as healthy as we can sometimes certain situations can slip through the cracks.

For me, it’s no secret, the last 8 months or so has been SO HARD for me. My name and my business had been tarnished by someone who I thought would never hurt me. And because of that my business had unfortunately taken a serious hit. I would be lying if I said it seriously didn’t suck to life out of me, and if it didn’t make it where frankly I didn’t enjoy my job anymore. If it wasn’t for the amazing bond I have with my clients and co workers, I was ready to quit this career because of the serious impact this situation made on me.

But after taking a step back and realizing that the only way to go is up, I’m determined to build my business back up to be better than ever.

So when you feel like you’re getting overwhelmed, maybe a little depressed, maybe you feel like you’re taking more on than you can handle. That’s when it’s time to take a step back, and take care of YOU. Because at the end of the day, your business can only work so well if you’re feeling your best.

When it comes to mental health, no one should have to fight this battle alone. Dont be afraid to reach out and ask for help

Okay but seriously though I’m LIVING for this color I know fall is coming but I still love the blondes that are leaving the salon 😍

We decided some hand painting was the way to go!
Problem we had some red dye to deal with 🫠
After her first appointment she lifted warm ☀️ but that’s to be expected when you’re dealing with box dye, after the second appointment we were able to kick 🦵 that box dye to the curb and give her a natural blonde

Ooofff I’m in my FEELS with this one 🥹
I always LOVE my brunettes and the dimension their hair gives off 🙌🏻

This was probably the EASIEST thing I’ve ever done, I know what you’re thinking, “seems like you did a lot”
But I didn’t! We’re growing out some highlights so a nice root melt to get rid of that harsh grow out line and a quick bleach wash to brighten those ends up and BOOM
*mic drop* 🎤

I could stare at this head all day 😍
I mean look at that tone and blend ✌🏻

✨ Fun Fact ✨
Did you know that you shouldn’t wash your hair everyday? Yup you read that right!

Washing your hair everyday can actually strip more oil from the hair which can then leave your hair more dry and more likely to break

But I’m sure you’re wondering, how often should I wash my hair then?
Everyone’s scalp is different some people can go longer than others when it comes to this, there’s really no right or wrong answer, I normally tell my clients if they can get away with washing their hair every 2 to 3 days then go for it!

BUT if you go to long with out washing your hair be careful! As not washing it enough can lead to dandruff, irritation and clogged pores.

Things you DON’T want to do to blonde hair

🤌🏻 overuse purple shampoo, you’re just going to dull your hair out and if you’re lucky give it a hue of purple

🤌🏻Skip out on deep conditioning treatments, blondes can be more drying, this is why you want to make sure you have a GREAT conditioning treatment on hand

🤌🏻Turn the heat up WAY to high on your tools, that’s right turn that sh*t down, your tools don’t need to be on super high heat, you’re just asking for problems

Everyone has their own ways of keeping up with their in between balayage appointments, here’s mine!

1. Come in for a toner and trim at least every 6-8 weeks, this will insure your ends are fresh along with your tone!✂️

2. Have a blue or purple shampoo on hand, you won’t need to use it all the time but it’s nice to have for when you feel like your ends are getting a little brassy and you want a freshen up! 🧖‍♀️

3. Make sure you use a hairdresser approved shampoo and conditioner! I can’t stress this enough you ALWAYS want to make sure you’re not using the wrong shampoo! You’re coming in and spending money 💰 on your hair don’t let it all wash down the drain! Make sure you communicate with your stylist on any sort of products you use!
