What we are looking for:
Demonstrate excellent Team Player skills by assisting the production team on a daily basis.
Take ownership of fabrication challenges and actively participate in overcoming those challenges.
Perform daily QA evaluation with a focus on any potential unsafe processes, procedures, or needed improvements
Invest in relationships by providing ongoing communication with production team members and other members of the quality team.
Accountable for safety in the QA areas; monitors and evaluates safety during QA involvement in all areas
Tests ambient base metal temps to assure correct level maintained throughout shifts
Advise fab shop employees when pre-heats are required
Review drawings and advise when special conditions: NDT, AESS, or tolerances outside AISC standard
Verifies material size, shape, overall length, profile, porosity, undercut, overlap, fusions, spatter, weld identifications, and marking for correct piece mark
Assess members for distortion created by welding and handling
Examine for camber and sweep
Assures all required grinding is complete; including all burrs are removed
Analyze and confirm arc strikes ground and repaired

Provide topics for weekly toolbox meetings for employees conducted by Supervisors
Develop and conduct Safety Orientation Program
Form, maintain and conduct Safety Committee meetings
Attend necessary seminars to maintain familiarity with regulations and requirements
