Chip Graduated PAWs Boot Camp! He is the "biggest bundle of jump!" So, in order to stop this behavior, we worked hard on training, and he did not jump with me. He's smart. He will keep trying to get away with it, until the family learns to correct him. We had a super great parent crash course, and we are all on board for Chip's happy future. No more need to raise voices, he knows the collar and a little tug to listen. I'm so proud of this boy! I begged for Chip to come to camp to make boarding easier! I think we've accomplished that❣️🙏

Congratulations to the Trenary's for the graduation of Sage and Aspen❣️
These two German Shorthair/Labradors are siblings. They have spent their lives tumbling over the other's back, one controlling the other with an awful growl and bullying the other, and both are girls. By working individually, they both learned training and liked it! They are great athletes!! With training collars, we worked on the awful growl, and calming them down from getting over excited...and in 2 days, they were excited to learn and listen. Dogs love to learn and can't get enough! (We just think they should be lazy when we are!!) So, they came through with a lot of energy, and over-performed, meaning they were too animated to see mom and dad, so they didn't perform as well as they will at home relaxed. They learned how to down, stay, walk on the left side of human, never pulling, and they don't whine as much! Basically, they grew up a little bit! 😉 Congrats for taking the big step, when you're struggling! They love their new play time with mom and dad!

Bentley and GiGi are one family and came in for their full grooms yesterday! These two are great dogs and we thoroughly enjoy them! Groomers do get some crazy one's! but these two are the best behaved! Always fun to work with the gentle bens! 💕💕

The Groom Shop is thriving with happy pups! Many drop off a couple dogs at a time for Spa Day! They always smell "sooooo" good!!! 🐶

CONGRATULATIONS to Murphy, our newest PAWs Boot Camp graduate! Dad got stuck in the storm coming to pick up Murphy while mom was stuck in an airport....luckily, I have amazing neighbors that shoveled out the car....and then mom made it home too! Quite an adventure for all three!
Murphy has had prior training from me, and he aced through this week like a pro... and as I told the folks, the dogs only jump if you let them. They know the fix! With Carolyn Elsberry

UPDATE: We had our last kennel dog picked up this afternoon and even the Big truck that came to pick him up didn't fare well... thanks to great neighbors and a huge tractor, puppy and dad made it home safely...today❣️🤩
No traffic at Home-Sweet-HomePetCare .com 😶🌫️ We are going into the deep freeze today. It starts out now at 0° and will be -18° (-26C Google says). The good thing. It's good for the insect population! 😂😂😂😁 Thank you God for heated floors in the kennels, and electricity to make it all work! 🥰💕

Ronnie graduated PAWs Boot Camp on January 11th with his parents participation tonight.... This is a huge accomplishment for an abused dog that spent 2 neglected years tied to a tree. PAWs Boot Camp Attendees enjoyed watching Penny perform, since one is stubborn and the other unsure. By showing them what Penny can do, it made all the difference. I was then able to take both Murphy and Ronnie around the cones and they had success and praise! Thank you Penny... you can whine less now...lol 😉

For Petsitting or Dog Training in your home!
Home-Sweet-Home PET CARE is designed for you and your pets. The intention is to be there when you are not, whether it be vacationing, weekends away, busy sport seasons with the kids activities, or training your dog. You are responsible for potty training, and I teach the dog manners, proper safe walking with the leash, leashless walking, therapy dog training, safety out in the world (not walking into the street without being on a leash with a human), playing ball with them, and teaching them not to bolt out of a door. I teach them to stay inside the house with the door wide open, and I walk out of the house and out of sight, expecting the dog to continue to sit there until I return. Part of the training is to respect the human, and wait while they enter the home and follow in after; same goes with going out. Whatever your challenge is, I am willing to work with it as long as it is safe to do so. As far as cost, I will work within your budget, anywhere from 2 times per week to 5 times per week.
Petsitting is IN YOUR HOME! I do not kennel your animals at my home. (However, I will board horses while you are on vacation at Dream Acres Horse Ranch, where I live.) I will come to your home morning, noon, dinner time, and evening if need be. Every family and pet’s needs vary. Spoiling Specialist is my title because they get a lot of love and kindness; and, they are always excited to see me return! This business is just me. I will not take on the responsibility of hiring other people to be in your home with your animals. My ability to do a great job for you while you are away is my promise to you. Because I am only one person, I can only take on so many families on a given weekend, or busy vacation time; therefore, I encourage you to book your times ahead as soon as you know. You can always change the dates, and you do not have to pay to hold dates. This ensures that you are first on my calendar for care.
Last Minute Care is when you realize that you need someone to let the dog out or walk the dog while you are away at a meeting, or a ballgame. My client’s usually text me and ask me, and I say “yes, thank you!” and they know that I know how to get in, do what’s expected, and leave the place locked with a light on if late. We all work together. If you would like to visit with a client, just ask ... they would be happy to hear from you. They are the best there is! I have the best job in the world, making your pets feel happy, fed, exercised and loved! My days are filled with laughter, because my furry clients are so adorable!
