What is thought to be believed was the longest log jam in the world took place in 1894 in Little Falls, MN. 7 miles long, a half mile wide, and 60 feet high. It took 150 lumberjacks, 5 teams of horses, and one steam engine 6 months to break it up. It was estimated to contain over 4 billion feet of lumber.

Look closely at the picture and you can spot the loggers.
