We love a trio and these beauties in vibrant colors are electric even in all this rain! Spring sunshine is around the corner and in 21 days these plants will triple in size and continue to thrive for months in the cooler weather. We can’t wait to watch them!

On this rainy day, it’s perfect to daydream about Spring flowers. Day 1 and Day 21 of one our favorite Spring planters. A reminder that even in planters, flowers take a little time to get going! Happy (almost) Spring!

We spent the morning transforming this new patio space at Pastic DC into a garden. Custom self watering inserts provided the perfect spaces to grow shade-tolerant plants and create a dining garden. On day one, we look for all holes to be filled in, no soil showing and plants that handle the transplanting stress. These are thriving and we can’t wait to see how they grow in. Pastis DC is related to the well known sister restaurants in Miami and NY and we are so excited to welcome them to the Washington Metropolitan area.

We are Hiring! If you are looking for part-time seasonal work with a flexible schedule, we would love to talk!

Exteriors Outdoor Styling by Great American Landscapes is looking for 1-2 motivated individuals to join our seasonal container gardening team beginning in September 2023. An eye for design, natural aesthetic, love of the outdoors and excellent work ethic are a must - plant knowledge and plant design will be taught. This position is perfect for someone looking for part time, seasonal work for approximately 20-22 weeks a year with opportunity for growth. The schedule is very flexible with 3-4 hours per day of work during season required.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
-Prepping beautiful container gardens in nursery to be installed by crew members
-Preparing planters for delivery to clients
-Managing and organizing plant material on site
-Working with other designers efficiently

Position Requirements:
-Attention to detail, cleanliness and organization

-Work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Late season beauties really hitting their stride despite the heat! Swipe to see the pretty little garden and walkway designed by Exteriors a number of years ago. .

We will be doing a full renovation to the entrance and roof top terraces at this gorgeous Bethesda property this fall but in the meantime, the summer designs are thriving on this hot August morning!

This rooftop terrace project was one of our favorites this season! The newly gutted and renovated penthouse of the former Columbia Hospital for Women is stunning inside and out with 22 planters adorn every balcony, making the terrace a garden oasis with a magnificent view of the nation’s capital! Incredible to say the least!!! .

Some of our favorite “wild childs” from the summer season! When heat gets going and plants get the water and fertilizing they need, they explode with growth! And we can’t get enough of it! It’s a jungle out there!
