Parents and guardians of Generation Salaam students!
Come out for a closing program where your student will join other storytellers to share their final project. (Ice cream included 🍦)
It happens July 21 at 6pm right here at the Grace Village!
Turn to your neighbor and say, “I need your story.” We love spending Thursdays with Generation Salaam and
We love hosting spaces for families like “Go with Grace.” Dozens of families listened, learned and ate amazing food cooked in love by dear neighbors around us in Clarkston.
All of us have more to understand of God’s story moving us from a place of dishonor and fear to a place of honor and peace. And all of us have stories God is telling as co-laborers in his work of restoring shalom in Jesus.
What better place to discover that than alongside friends and strangers, long-standing neighbors and new Americans?

There’s power in sharing your stories with others. Generation Salaam happens again tonight at 6pm! (Missed out on joining this year? DM us for some opportunities this fall!)
If the arc is justice, then its source is the God of peace who hears; its light, right relationships; its seen effect, a plated table for a six-course meal with a seating chart alphabetized enemy, forgotten, ‘that’ group among the highways and country roads. such is the kingdom.
This week, we observe
“Turn to someone and tell them: `You have a story.’”
We loved watching students be introduced to the God who has a story he is telling — and it is good.
We are equally excited to host you all again Thursday for week two of Generation Salaam!
We are so excited to have the Grace Village house 54 students, 16 volunteers, 3 interns and 2 staff members these next seven Thursdays for Generation Salaam, our summer art program for middle and high school students. We can’t wait to see you tonight!
What are you doing this summer? Register for Generation Salaam before spots close on Sunday, June 5th! https://gfc.tv/2022/03/generation-salaam-2/

It is easy to stop in moments like this past week’s injustices and ask, “What can I do?” And the Apostle Paul responds, “Bless and do not curse.”
•
To curse is to suppress life; to bless is to enhance it. So, choose today in all realms of your relationships to enhance life. Our response is not merely political, although it shakes political systems. Our response is not merely spiritual, although it saves souls yet to hear “beloved.”
•
It is what President Vladimir Putin needs as much as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President Joe Biden and the other world leaders. Pray blessing. Pray that they too would hear God say you are beloved. Not for what they have done or will do, but on the same merits you and I can hear these sweet words: Jesus in whom God is well pleased.
•
For it is in Jesus that we can respond to evil with blessing, because he absolved evil and gave life. It is in Jesus we enhance life knowing our labors are not in vain, because he is the first fruits of this abundant life. And it is in Jesus we can follow well, not hitting back, because he was hit for us; discovering beauty in everyone, for God rejected Jesus so that we might be received (Rom 12v17-19).
•
This is the good news for hard, horrendous, bad-news-stricken days.
