Childers argues that Progressive Christianity, with its web of enticing lies, often leads us to place ourselves on the throne. While the secular world champions self-love and prioritizing oneself, we must remember why the gospel of self is perilous for Christians. Childers cautions us to approach this surge with a healthy level of skepticism. She urges us to remain alert for signs that may indicate a shift toward Progressive Christianity.
