For the Love of Mothers - Doula Services
Welcome! I am so glad you’re here! I am a doula practicing in Clarksville TN and surrounding areas❤️
My books for the remainder of the year are filling fast! If you’re expecting, now is the time to get on the calendar!
It’s a good day to have a baby!🤍
Partners- you play such a HUGE role in labor this is something most women will never forget so be prepared to step up !
We are just a few days away from the one year anniversary of For the Love of Mothers - Doula Services! I am so thankful for the mommas and families that have trusted me in the past year you have each taught me so much! This year has been more than I had ever hoped! I never imagined that in my first year I would reach so many and be able to do so much! I cannot wait for the amazing things that happen over the next year not only for myself personally but for this beautiful birth business I have grown!
Thank you all for your continued support and love!
I’ve been a little quiet I know but I’ve been keeping a secret!
My family and I are expecting a special little one of our own this year and I have been soaking up all the beautiful parts of pregnancy🤍 I can’t wait to share this journey with you all !
To ALL mamas and those who wish to become mamas... Happy Mother's Day! ❤❤❤
Modern Mom Probs
Happy Mother's Day to all the incredible mothers out there – those who have just begun their journey and those who wear their experiences like a badge of honor. 🌱
On this special day, we honor your strength, your patience, and the love that you pour into every moment of motherhood.
We also want to celebrate the beautiful dance of support that surrounds you, especially the gentle guidance of doulas who walk alongside you through the waves of childbirth and beyond.
Doulas are your advocates, your confidants, and your cheerleaders, empowering you to trust in your own strength and wisdom. Today, we recognize the sacred space where mothers and doulas meet – a space filled with respect, understanding, and shared moments that will be cherished forever.
To every mother, may you feel deeply seen, appreciated, empowered, and loved not just today, but every day. And to my fellow doulas, thank you for the incredible work you do in nurturing the mother's spirit as she brings new life into the world.
🤍🌱
I’m an open book when it comes to motherhood! Let’s talk about it! These are all great questions to ask and there are SO MANY MORE ! Childbirth education is more than just teaching you the basics of your body! It can be so helpful especially for first time mommas!
DADS!!! You’re still so important here!
Parenting tips from Miss Rachel ❤️❤️
Beautiful ❤️
I know I know I’ve been quiet!
So much in the works I’ve needed to step back a bit and fully focus on my current clients as well as my learning and business growth plans but rest assured I will be back very soon and I can’t wait to share what I’ve been working on with you all!
For now continue adding all your mama expecting mama and hopefully mamas to be to this page so no one misses out!
Amazing what our bodies can do!!
Shoutout post! Huge home birth wins all around 😍🥹
Firstly I want to shoutout the mama who birthed this ELEVEN pound sweetheart at home, in the water, breathing baby out and zero tearing!! Physiological birth works people! Willow Holland you are a warrior woman. 🙌🏼
Secondly I want to shoutout this lovely midwife I have had the pleasure of assisting and serving families with ♥️ Jill Vick is new to the area and it’s been great getting to know her and having another home birth provider to refer families to.
Y’all, I am absolutely biased, but home birth is the BEST!!! It is by far the safest place for low risk, healthy mothers and babies to receive care.
RUN
I would say to women that see this sign to run in the other direction! Like what the actual hell?! How do they think this is ok by any means and how is taking women’s agency, autonomy and support going to make birth safer???

This sign is posted for public viewing at the offices of Bay Area Physicians for Women in Mobile, Alabama.
The CDC ranks Alabama as having the third highest parental/maternal death rate in the nation.
Their infant mortality rate in 2022 was 6.7 deaths per 1,000 live births.
Alabamas cesarean rate is also 36.5%.
Alabama needs MORE BIRTHPLANS AND MORE DOULAS.
Systems, providers and policies are not allowed to strip us of birth rights.
Birth rights include the ability to have a birthplan detailing individualized care and needs.
Birth rights include the ability to have birth support, such as a doula at the birth.
A provider refusing one or both of those are:
❌Not practicing ethically
❌Stripping people of their human and birth rights
❌Denying life saving tools
❌Have no legal right to do so
To top it off, this office is asking parents to sign waivers on agreement to not have birthplans or doulas.

What a beautiful way to celebrate this period in life with your partner!
As your doula I PROMISE any nurse that treats you like this will be dismissed!
Right after your baby is born, we encourage skin-to-skin. While this physical contact is important during those first few hours, the benefits last throughout the entire newborn stage. By doing skin-to-skin frequently during those early months, you’re not only strengthening your connection with your baby, but you’re also helping your newborn as they continue to adjust to life outside the womb!
Here’s why:
Skin-to-skin provides the comfort that they’re missing so much. It also regulates their temperature, their heart rate, their blood sugar, and their breathing. But that’s not all that’s happening during this time.
Skin-to-skin is going to build up your baby’s immune system through binding while also encouraging breastfeeding.
Taking the time to do some skin-to-skin will comfort your baby and it encourages bonding. The best part of skin-to-skin is that either parent can do it, so it’s a great way for new dads and moms to form that early connection!
This is why I advocate to ask questions !! Informed consent is so important!
LOVE Nurse Sydney!!

I am feeling a very strong calling to teach prenatal yoga in the near future! Before I invest in this training and certification-
Who would be interested in group or private classes?!
There are so many amazing reasons to do yoga while pregnant!
It can help you stay flexible, reduce stress, and improve your sleep during pregnancy. Plus, it's great for building strength and preparing your body for childbirth. Yoga poses can also help with back pain and improve your posture. And let's not forget about the relaxation and breathing techniques you learn, which can be super helpful during labor. Overall, prenatal yoga is a fantastic way to take care of yourself and your baby during pregnancy! 🧘♀️
In case you need a little encouragement to take that extra nap ;)
A study in Science Advances looking at the limits of human endurance found that the physical intensity of pregnancy is basically like running a 40 week marathon.
Next time you find yourself saying “this is hard” know it IS hard, but it’s so worth it.
