Colors on the Gun

It lays there on the hard concrete drying up from the sun.
Sprinkles of dark dust are applied, as reflections of bright lights shadows it, hoping to ID the colors on the gun.

It fell around a quarter to midnight with no eyes around. Just eight cars, six cameras, with voices of danger yelling, get down now!!

A long finger press triggers while the handles are gripped with experienced palms. Red covers the concrete as the last sounds of moaning echo’s a mother’s alarm.

With flashing lights surrounding wondering, did shots have to be fired, couldn’t it have gotten stunned?
Or is shooting with pretended blind folds target practice, or a killing game you play for fun?

Even when your hands are up, and standing still, please don’t move or run.
Red pours from the black body on the concrete, now you know the color on the other side of the gun.

Good morning, afternoon, and good day to you all.
As some of us, and soon many of you will be sending your children and family members back for another school year. I ask that you join me in prayer for the safety of all of our children, teachers, and staff around the world to be able to complete this year without harm.
Unfortunately, today's society of social media, the news, and other media outlets have everyone telling and spreading what happens but not why it happen.

As a self-published author, the road of trying to speak, share and promote a positive message is rough. Still, I am continuing to do just that by going out speaking, trying to hold community events, and promoting my book “Where Do I Belong”
A story that shows why and how we got to this point of mass shootings and su***des. This is a book you can read to your children, family, friends, churches, and schools.
The characters in this book tell a story of their life that doesn't focus on what's happening but on how and why it happens and that I believe is the key.

Through compelling narratives and heartfelt performances, we aim to create empathy and understanding among our audience, encouraging them to take action against bullying in all its forms.

With this stage production, We aim to shed light on the devastating effects of bullying, from its origins at home to its far-reaching consequences in our schools, churches, and communities. This thought-provoking production delves deep into the interconnectedness of bullying and the alarming rise in mass shootings, which have claimed the lives of over 200 innocent individuals. Additionally, it highlights the harrowing statistic of approximately 700,000 youth su***des each year, further emphasizing the urgent need for change.

With that said, We are in need of actors, actresses, director, production crew, hair and makeup stylist, volunteers, and sponsors to help bring this play to life.
