The SPCYPD attended the 13th District YPD Retreat this weekend in Gatlinburg. The theme was “Trust N Truth”. The youth, as well as the adult attendees enjoyed every second of the retreat.
They were blessed with some very awesome and dynamic presenters. They were engaged with up close and personal conversations concerning their walk with God and trusting His guidance during a Campfire Bible Study as well as in their session and worship experiences.
Their mission project was the donation of school supplies for a local elementary school in the area. The recipient was very grateful and thankful for the donation.
There was a shift in the atmosphere as the Rev. Dr. Marlon Ector brought the closing worship service with the sermon title: “A Call to Launch Deep”
Luke 5:4-11.
It is my belief that none of the youth left the same as they came.
The blessings of the Lord truly reigned among us.
Job well done MaKayla Patton and Jewel Basden!
Join us at 11am for our Worship Service. We want to share the word of God with you!
