SUCCESS STORY: Meet Jamila!
A single mother with three beautiful children, Jamila has been busy being a great mom while also being committed to completing the LPN program with TCAT.
Through the help of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, Jamila has been able to overcome so many obstacles. She worked through school while WIOA provided additional gas and childcare assistance. She had constant support, both logistically and emotionally, from her career coach, enabling her to overcome personal and financial struggles to obtain her goal.
She has graduated from the program with a 3.8 GPA, and has been accepted into an RN to BSN bridge program in Nashville. She is excited to become a nurse to help members of her community and continue to support her growing family. Go, Jamila, go!
