I’ve come to realize the profound impact of using my talents to help women in their self-love journey feel confident and celebrated. My ultimate goal is to create an experience that not only uplifts but also empowers women. I love these pictures so much. I found a little beach along the river to take photos of this client with her sweet pup but toward the end as the sun was setting and we were about to lose our light I asked if I could take a few of just her for my portfolio. They turned out so dreamy 🤩

I shared these to a local Facebook group back in October after a photography meetup and somebody commented, “floating heads!!!” They weren’t wrong, so, I don’t know guys. Here are some floating heads. I really like them. 💁🏻‍♀️

Has the wind ever caught your hair just right and you feel like someone out of a movie? Truly, the wind was a paid actor.

As a mom of young kids, most of the time I feel like a bridge troll. Lindsey - a momma herself - on the other hand, looks like a goddess and I’m so stoked she let me take these for her.

Also, I’m noticing a trend of clients with absolutely fantastic eyebrows. If you or someone you know has excellent eyebrows, let’s document those things 😆💃🏻

I just think we deserve to have pictures of ourselves if for no other reason than to experience the profound joy of feeling beautiful and seen. Especially us moms. And like, I know we love them but, selfies don’t count. 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

I photographed my sister a lot during college for my thesis and this is one of those pictures that makes me feel like I’m back home. We got some snow overnight and my kids were bursting out the front door first thing this morning. One of the cool things about being a parent is getting to witness that joy and excitement again, almost like it’s the first time, and it sure takes me back.

I’ve found it really exhausting to make friends as an adult, especially as a mom and especially when we move so often. At 3 years, this is the longest we’ve lived anywhere 😐 and like some miracle we were followed by a neighbor from our last duty station. I’m incredibly lucky to have found these ladies amongst the craziness of military life and motherhood.

My sweet friend and fellow photographer, Danielle, had never had her portrait taken and I’m honored to have done these for her.

I’ve tried to think of a lot of things to say with this first post. It’s been a minute since I’ve picked this up and the fear of putting myself out there that I thought would dissipate with time is still alive and well. I guess I’m starting this new year by thinking less and posting more. So here we go, 2024.

This is probably my favorite picture I’ve ever taken. I took it on my D50 with a kit lens probably over a summer break from college 15 years ago. It was a gorgeous sunny evening and suddenly it started pouring. I rushed my sister and my best friend outside, sprayed them down with the garden hose we all drank from as kids and started shooting. This picture makes me feel things I haven’t felt since I was a kid in a neighborhood I grew up in and moved away from after my parents divorce. I will never get tired of revisiting it.
