Bulks don’t mean go eat whatever you want. You should still be eating Whole Foods, not processed garbage. Hit your protein ( a gram per goal body weight) no matter what.

It took me way too long to learn this, I was screwing up my hormones, metabolism & mental health chasing a lower weight, when in reality lower weight doesn’t mean health.

Health is measured by how much MUSCLE you have on your body. If you’re living in a low caloric deficit, you’re not losing body fat likely, but just muscle. We have to learn better & do better! We are capable & able!

I’ve lost weight starving myself & doing 2 beachbody programs on top of running. I was killing myself to look a certain way & as soon as I crashed, it all came back & then some. We have to stop making this popular, it’s not healthy. Muscle = health. Skinny doesn’t mean healthy. Let go of the uneducated garbage that even doctors recommend blindly, do your own research. 35 years old & had to figure it out that not all doctors want the best for you. At some point most are just pushing pills & even the nutritionists aren’t educated enough.

Educate yourself enough to understand that doctors & dietitians have/can & will be/been WRONG. It’s not necessarily unhealthy to have fat on your body, as much as not having muscle. The less MUSCLE you have, the LESS HEALTHY.

Don’t be afraid to pick up the weights. Start small with correct form then move up & repeat. You gain muscle by eating enough & resistance training. This lifestyle of living in a deficit is UNHEALTHY. Those are only meant to be phases. Just like bulks & maintenance. I tried living in a deficit & had to keep cutting calories to keep losing weight, not realizing I was only taking muscle from my body & not body fat.

Resistance training aids in building muscle, not cardio that burns muscle.

We gotta learn more & do better. A lot of the influencers & professionals have it all wrong. Look at actual research on your own & go crush it!

As someone who started my fitness journey with that MLM exercise company, I hope more people wake up & stop using it. YOU NEED TO BUILD MUSCLE for better overall health. Cardio is great for cardiovascular health, but still doesn’t touch the benefits of muscle. It burns fat, fights diseases, builds your immune system, protects your body, levels your hormones & so much more.

These coaches & even the people making these videos are no qualified to teach you. I don’t know anyone who kept the weight off, because it’s not meant to. They make money off of you leaping to the next program. I was there & did it. I was starving myself by following their “nutrition plan” & “strength training” without ever questioning their credentials. I thought because they’re with this company, then they had to have some knowledge.

Please educate yourself. These influencers are often uneducated, throwing out trigger words to get you to sink in further & want you to eat nothing.

I’ve been on a reverse diet, strength training & running maybe once or twice a week only because it’s a hobby I enjoy. I’m not running for hours so I burn a crazy amount of calories.

With cardio you only burn calories while you’re doing that activity, muscle will burn calories all throughout the day. Work smarter not harder. You deserve to know better & be better!

Moving More & Eating Less Long-Term Is A FAILING Strategy For Sustainable Results | Mind Pump 2162 09/13/2023

Yes I know studies show that you need to eat less & move more in order to lose weight, but if you don’t do it right here’s & that’s all you do, what will happen is you’ll slow down your metabolism, you’ll lose muscle’ you’ll gain the weight back & it’ll all be fat. “

I wish I would have done more of my own research & education when I was first getting into my health journey. I found workouts I could do from home, which were great at the time, but the nutrition info they gave out was mostly wrong. Eat less, move more, there was little advice on protein intake , just mostly drink these shakes & you’ll get healthy. I would lose weight killing myself to do more & eat less. It worked for a little bit then the weight ALWAYS came back. The same thing would happen to so many of my friends & people in fb groups. It’s because it’s not sustainable!

After my husband sitting me down & reading more about actual weight lifting & nutrition, I realized I was doing it all wrong.

Please do your own research, most of the influencers & even companies have little to no education on neither nutrition nor exercise. Take charge of your life, your health! You are capable! Respect yourself & don’t fill pockets of people who aren’t dedicated in helping you. You’re worth the work!

When you don’t know better, you’ll fall for all the scams. Sadly with fitness scams are EVERYWHERE.

There are no body types.
Cardio is good for your cardiovascular health, but is no good for your metabolism.
Meal plans are PERSONAL. One size does not fit all.
All diets are supposed to be in phases, not to be in forever.
Muscle weighs the same as fat, it just takes up less space. Why you should measure more than you weigh yourself.
Do your research! Listen to people who are qualified. Who have credentials. Not even BeachBody, peloton, 90% of social media influencers, etc & all those fad companies don’t have the credentials for the things they’re claiming will work. Hence why so many people almost 90% of the people all gain the weight back.

You have to make nutrition realistic & livable & change your lifts. Yes, you need to lift. Muscle burns fat, muscle saves your body from breaking, muscle saves you from diseases & so much more!

Learn from nutritionists & trainers who actually keep up with research & are always educating themselves! Mind pump media is a great resource, as well as Dr. Spencer Nadolsky, Dr. Bret Contreras & Dr. Gabrielle Lyon! They all have most socials, YouTube channels & podcasts!

Educate educate educate!

Most fad diets are not healthy & a lot of fitness influencers shouldn’t be influencing anyone. Be very careful who you follow & remember you’re already enough!

Take back your mindset of how you think you should look or be & love yourself where you already are. Most things on the internet are photoshopped & filtered, but you have the gift of seeing your true self everyday. See yourself, love yourself & then start showing yourself the respect you deserve.

You deserve to be healthy.

Some great advice I got from a nutritionist was to go to the grocery store & just go look at the different vegetables & fruit. Look at all the different colors & feel the textures & let your brain guide you on what it is attracted to. I’ve now been eating much more raw veggies & fruit. Always have them available & visible!

& lastly, find exercise that you actually like. There’s so many options out there, get your body moving! Even just walking does wonders! Your body NEEDS muscles. You don’t have to do anything crazy, just some resistance training & moderate cardio.
