FBCT Military Ministry
The FBCT Military Ministry stands ready to partner with our military community in your spiritual journey, responding to and meeting your unique needs.
Because a large percentage of our church family is made up of active duty military, spouses, veterans, and families of active duty who desire to serve God, our country and our military community, building and maintaining a dynamic military ministry is high on our priority list at First Baptist Clarksville. We understand that military personnel and their families face extraordinary stresses unique
Happy Birthday, America!
In God we trust!
June is Month.
Among our veteran community, is a very important topic at First Baptist Clarksville. Yet we must also be aware of explained by Abigail Shrier in her book, Bad Therapy. Veterans can unwittingly become “cash cows” for bad therapy. A never ending cycle of sessions, maybe even multiple sessions a week with no progress at all paid for by our VA benefits.
True hope and growth is possible in Jesus Christ.
FBCT Military Pastor, Richard E Davis is an advocate in finding a good Christian therapist that specializes in PTSD, acknowledges , has goals and a limits on the number of treatments, and desires to see one thrive in society.
He is also an advocate for integrated-trauma care ministries at local churches to walk with those struggling with the residue of war.
War changes soldiers and war changes their families. Yet veterans and families impacted by war can grow and dream once again with a new story! His story!
Remember and honor our fallen this Memorial Day.
Recognize such bravery by our fallen soldiers who gave everything. Pray for their families and friends. Pray that others would be as brave for the defense of our nation and liberty.

Family game nights are great opportunities to relax, laugh, and grow in the Lord!
You may not think of a board game as an opportunity to disciple children, but games can provide the context for sharing biblical principles, life applications, and shaping a Christian worldview.
So enjoy a game or two! Have fun and praise the Lord for family!

A great day at the Cohen Clinic Carnival in Clarksville!
Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Centerstone, Tennessee hosted the carnival with many local organizations in attendance providing a variety of games for military families. With the great weather, over a hundred military children with their parents, both active duty and veteran service members.
Dr. Richard Davis, Military Pastor at First Baptist Church, Clarksville, TN and Area Director in Ky / Tn with Soul Survivor Outdoor 501c3 set up a Military Ministry and SSO information booth. The children got to play Plinko while Richard talked with the parents about First Baptist and SSO.
It was a great event as Richard as able to meet with other organizations with similar interests to reach and care for our active duty and veteran service members. But even better was to see the military children and their parents to say thank you in support the Month of the Military Child.
Tomorrow is the Cohen Clinic Carnival at Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Centerstone, Tennessee from 11 am to 2 pm on Weatherly Drive in Clarksville.
The weather looks great with a low chance of rain and a great chance for fun!
