Hypnosis and meditation are a lot alike. Each creates a portal into higher states of consciousness, and each has its place in our development as better human beings.

We use meditation as a ladder to spiritual enlightenment and better health, but hypnosis is a tool to reprogram our waking thought patterns, emotions, and daily behavior through targeted suggestions.

These suggestions are delivered by a qualified hypnotist or by ourselves as autosuggestions (self hypnosis).

Most meditators miss the added benefit of giving themselves suggestions before they return to waking consciousness. You have entered into this wonderful state of consciousness where all your bad habits, hangups, and emotional hurts are all pushed aside.

In this state, your mind is soft and maleable like playdough, so as you or your therapist gives you suggestions, your mind accepts them as reality, and you can become a new person.

Never let this wonderful hypnotic state go to waste. Use it to improve your life and the lives of those around you. Spread love and joy, create success, and uplift everyone around you.

Hypnosis and hypnotherapy share a common foundation in inducing a trance-like state, but they differ in their goals and applications. Hypnosis is a broader term, referring to the state of focused attention and heightened suggestibility. Hypnotherapy, on the other hand, specifically involves using this state for therapeutic purposes.

Similarities:
1. **Trance State:** Both hypnosis and hypnotherapy involve guiding individuals into a natural mental state, characterized by increased focus and suggestibility.

2. **Relaxation:** Both often, but not always, involve inducing a state of relaxation where individuals can access their subconscious mind more easily.

3. **Suggestion:** Both utilize suggestion as a powerful tool, influencing behavior and thought patterns during this trance state.

Differences:

1. **Purpose:** Hypnosis can be used for various purposes, including entertainment and self-exploration, while hypnotherapy is specifically geared towards therapeutic goals such as treating phobias, anxiety, pain or habits.

2. **Application:** Hypnosis has a broader application, including stage performances and self-help, whereas hypnotherapy is intended for addressing specific issues that are causing issues in a person's current

3. **Training:** Hypnotherapy typically requires formal training in psychology or counseling, as it involves addressing emotional and psychological issues. In contrast, hypnosis may be practiced by individuals without therapeutic training.

4. **Outcome:** The outcome of hypnosis can be diverse, from simple relaxation to altered perceptions. Hypnotherapy, however, aims at producing positive therapeutic changes in behavior, thoughts, or emotions.

In essence, while hypnosis is the induction of a trance state, hypnotherapy is a focused application of this state to achieve therapeutic objectives.
