Finding Carl....
(could be the name of a chapter in my unwritten book)

it was an whole adventure in itself.
I could go back to discovering his daughter, MIXED MEDIA GIRL Mixed Media Girl Marcy, who creates and teaches others paint pours and resin and all kinds of cool stuff. I was looking for something new to spark my own art/painter career, and I stumbled on her website.

It was fascinating...bright startling and luscious art with her talking you through her process as she created a new painting. I followed her and at some point sent her a message or two asking her about the business of the art business. She was kind and replied, giving me pointers on what she had done to achieve her success.

At this time i was single and hoping and casually glancing around for a "boyfriend" or partner. I saw a video Marcy did with her Dad making a resin pour in a wood table top which had space in it for a river of beautiful blue resin. And her Dad didn't really talk on the video...and there weren't really any shots of him...just his arms and hands....but I was intrigued.

I am a bit of a detective. Oh heck...I'm a master sleuth that would put Jessica Fletcher to shame!!!

I found his name and his fb page and we had LOT of FRIENDS IN COMMON.

I friended him....he accepted.

I realised his wife had passed and he was looking for "someone' to eventually marry.

hmmmmmmm.....

I sent him a message or two...we chatted...then he said something i just didn't like!!! ( I'll save that for another day, but it was nothing horrible...in fact it turned out to be true... but it was not what I wanted to hear.)

I stopped communicating and within a few days he was gone.

No no no....he wasn't dead...he was just not posting and looking.

So I knew he had found someone.

DARN.

He found someone and they were together for over a year.
I went on looking, hoping to find someone in my " senior years" but being unsuccessful.

then one day i changed my mind about men. I wasn't trying to, it just occurred to me that actually men are just like women...good faithful, kind, loving helpful or not....
but they were not some ALIEN RACE...they were ok!!!

Now I know how silly and ridiculous that sounds to a lot of folks...especially ones that are married or have a good relationship. But for single people...men and women alike...I believe it is our own belief that is keeping us away from finding TRUE LOVE.

And it wasn't a huge incident that happened to make me change my belief either.

I SAW A MAN RIDING A BIKE IN DUNEDIN....and I thought...that man is my neighbor although I will never see him again...and all the people in this world are also my neighbors! Sounds funny to me as I write this...but it was an AHAH MOMENT.

It made me feel part of the whole world and that of course included...MEN!

Not long after that I re-found Carl...who had split from the girlfriend.
But that's a story for another day....

Today we are MARRIED and live in Palm Harbor Fl with his 93 year old Mom.
ahhh...adventures abound if you know where to look!!!

Well...we are continuing to create our LOVE STORY...and we also created MY HANDYMAN HUSBAND. Since we both love to help, its a good fit.

a question....where can i show my paintings?

I have looked at the difference between a photo of a painting and the actual painting.....i realize that each painting is endowed with the spirit, the love and the LIFE of the artist. And when you photograph it, it looks very similar...but the LIFE IS DIFFICULT TO PERCEIVE.
I hung one of my paintings up and was surprised to find how much spirit and life it adds to the room!!!
I know i know...it may be obvious to others that this is true...BUT...i did not have any reality on it.
NOW I DO!
which leads me ....HOW CAN I GET A GALLERY OR LIBRARY OR SPACE WITH LOTS OF WALLS....TO HANG MY PAINTINGS UP...so others can experience them...love them ...and give them a good home!
I have quite a few for sale, and would love to sell them to a happy art lover.
If you have any ideas, please let me know..thx!
