There is a vast difference between treating the effects and adjusting the causes. A healthy life starts on the inside.
A properly functioning spine and nerve system is essential to a healthy life style.
ABC's of fitting backpack:
A. Use of straps
Back pack have two straps use them! With both straps, you’re dividing the weight in half, equally over both shoulders. Wearing just 1 strap not only puts more weight on one shoulder, but compresses one side of your spine and can lead to injury.
B. Location of backpack
The backpack should be centered along the mid-back with the bottom of the bag being about at the middle of the low back and NOT lower than the low back. If you have the bag too high or low it will extend your low back too much and could result in pain.
C. Weight and distribution of weight in backpack
The backpack should NOT weigh more than 10-15% of your body weight. ie- If you weigh 80 lbs, your bag should weigh no more than 12 pounds
Our bodies are amazing at healing and adapting, but the healing process does take time. It can often feel like a waiting game if you're recovering from an injury. “how long will it take for my injury to heal?” is a common question our patient ask. Recovery time depends on the type of tissue damaged.
Not everybody will heal in the exact same manner; additional factors such as: blood supply, extent of damage, overall health, age, nutrition, rest, medications, pre / post-injury care, etc. plays apart in the healing process.
Your Spine Your Health
Your nervous system plays a critical role in how your body functions. It delivers messages throughout the body to assist in understanding how it needs to adapt to your environment. A large portion of the nervous system will pass through your spine, making it essential to have the spine adjusted properly to allow the nerves to communicate effectively. The spinal cord acts as a lifeline cable to your brain, and branches out nerves to the entire body.
If the nerves are unable to communicate with one another, your body can end up with problems in certain areas. Dealing with pain in the back where you have a tight muscle can block the nerve's ability to communicate effectively. If the nerves cannot transmit the messages, it will adversely affect the function of various parts of your body.
Our nerve chart below explains how the nerves in the spine work, and what areas of the body can end up transmitting messages and leading to aches and pains.
Chiropractic Is an Excellent First Choice for Low Back Pain The current available research notes that 52% of all opioid prescriptions are for patients with low back pain, and over two million Americans suffer from opioid use disorder (OUD), with 47,000 dying from OUD in
Anterior Head Syndrome or AHS
As the head moves forward to compensate the upper body moves backwards to compensate for the upper body the hips tilt forwards. As a result this forward head position can be the cause of not only head and neck problems but also mid-back and low-back problems
Sarcopenia, the loss of muscle mass and strength, is a natural part of aging. After the age of 30, people can lose up to 3% to 5% of their muscle mass per decade. Sarcopenia is a factor in loss of stamina, fall, fractures, hospitalization, loss of independence and many other chronic diseases.
What the science says. Resistance training is the most effective way to build and strengthen muscle at all ages. That means things like:
-lifting free weights like dumbbells
-using machine weights, like you find in a gym
-using resistance bands
-bodyweight exercises such as push-ups, squats, wall-sits or tricep dips.
With just twice a week of exercise. The improvements can be seen in as little as eight weeks. After just eight weeks, the average mid-thigh muscle area had increased by almost 10% (which is equivalent to the amount of muscle typically lost over a decade). The good news even if you are already experiencing the debilitating effects of sarcopenia, it’s never too late to start exercising.
If this is what the Predator sees after chasing you for a couple of minutes. You might be over do for your next adjustment.
Nearly 8% or $95.4 billion, of annual hospital spending goes just to treats opioid use disorder (OUD). The opioid epidemic taken the lives of nearly 1 million people, in the last 24 years. Analysis found that 66 million emergency department outpatient visits and 760,000 inpatient admissions annually are for patients with OUD.
Research found, people who saw a chiropractor were 64% less likely to use opioids than people who didn’t. Chiropractic and other non-drug approaches to pain management, can be an important first line of defense against pain and addiction resulting from the overuse of prescription opioid pain medications. ~ Pain Medicine, online September 27, 2019.
Chiropractic adjustments to the spinal column can ease pain, enhance joint motion, improve your posture, and help your nervous system function normally.
"google, why does my neck hurt?"
Synovial fluid cavitation or “Pop” for short.
Cavitation occurs when pressure or force separates the surfaces of a synovial joint, thus creating a reduction in joint pressure. Gasses (oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide) dissolved within the synovial fluid are responsible for the pop, snap or crack noise you hear an adjustment.
This process is similar to when you uncork a champagne bottle. Champagne contains dissolved carbon dioxide. When the cork is removed the carbon dioxide escapes the liquid as bubbles.
So, whether you’re popping a champagne bottle or getting adjusted, carbon dioxide has the chemical characteristics to make a pop, snap or crack as it escapes the liquid.

Secret to anti-aging: H2O
A US Government-funded study, at the National Institutes of Health (NHI) “suggest that proper hydration may slow down ageing and prolong a disease-free life.” Drinking 8 glasses of water every day can prolong your life for up to 15 YEARS; slash the risk of heart attacks, strokes and dementia. Conversely, adults drinking less water, were 64% more likely to develop chronic diseases like heart failure and stroke.
