Our EBOB team was recognized tonight at the WS/FCS Board Meeting. We are so incredibly proud of this team for their hard work and dedication.
Thank you to our amazing PTA for providing a cool treat to all our students today! You can see all the smiles this ice cream truck helped create.
Cross Curricular at its best! Our students painted flower pots in art and planted in science. Today they painted rocks that will go in our garden. Engaging students in their learning is the name of the game.
Field Day is coming up - Monday - June 3rd. We can’t wait to see you at Morgan for a fun filled day.
Morgan supports our local camps - keeping students active (and reading) is important for a successful summer.
Thank you to Ms. Clark’s class for planting 35 varieties of plants to stabilize the bank near the creek. This helps reduce excessive runoff, and these plants will eventually help provide food and shelter for the bugs, birds and other animals in our ecosystem. Thanks, Mavericks, for helping out our earth!
A test score doesn’t define our students - they are ALL incredible. But the fact is that we test a whole lot in NC and testing can be stressful. We are trying to make it a little lighter with encouraging words and actions. Our classrooms are supporting one another during this time by writing kind notes - and even sharing sweet treats. When life gives you lemons - make lemonade.
Our first graders, led by our amazing Ms. Koontz, are learning about the science behind bubbles and light. Ms. Koontz brings the magic of learning alive.
First grade Mother’s Day Picnic! The smiles were abundant today!
Our PTA has put so much energy into this week. Thank you for celebrating our staff in such special ways. Today’s lunch was perfect.
After several weeks of learning about the life cycle of chicks - they have hatched!!! What an exciting time in our 2nd grade classrooms.
This was School Lunch Hero week! Our Child Nutrition staff is amazing. Each day they show up with smiles - ready to work hard and bless our students. Thanks Ms. Monique for your leadership and for your awesome team.
Another Maverick is featured today. We love you Ms. Self!
Thank you to Ms. Arellano for presenting at the
WS/FCS board meeting on behalf of Morgan. Ms.
Arellano shared what shifts Morgan has made after interpreting our Panorama data. Ms. Arellano is a huge advocate for student and community voice and we are thankful for all she does.
K Screening, Mystery Readers, TKD and field trips. Ms. Blackwood even broke a board. A wonderful Friday in Clemmons! ❤️❤️❤️
More Read-a-Thon pics!
What a wonderful day! We had our first community Read-a-Thon. We have been building our silent reading stamina all year, but today was our most exciting Read-a-Thon yet!Thank you to all of our community readers who came to share their love of reading with our students. Dr. Freeman (area superintendent), Mr. Brooks (retired Clemmons fire chief), Deputy Culler, Mayor Mike Rogers, the Chick-fil-A Cow, Dylan Williamson, Betty Bewley (Morgan tutor and volunteer), Mr. Mike Hayes (Morgan’s first principal), and Brent Campbell (WS/FCS Director of Communciations) made our day by joining us for silent reading and a read-aloud. Thank you to all our community members and to our students - who were amazing!
Our 5th graders took their “senior” trip to Camp Hanes today. A day filled with outdoor learning, confidence building and new adventures.
Happy Earth Day. Our 3rd graders planted in our raised beds today. It’s wonderful to see our students invested in caring for our campus, learning about the different varieties of plants and celebrating our earth.
Holden was honored today for his award winning Reflections Entry. He created a video that showed hope and happiness through his eyes. It is titled “Hopeful Holden”. His project made it to the state level. What an incredible honor. We are so proud of you Holden, and so thankful you are a Maverick.
Career Day! Today was a wonderful opportunity for our students to experience the different choices they can make as they move forward with their education. We had so many wonderful volunteers here to discuss their career. Our students asked the best questions and were a fabulous audience. Thank you Ms. Arellano and Mr. Windsor for providing this opportunity for our students.
This is Morgan!!! Our students cheering on as their peers as we left for Special Olympics! What a fun day we had - and we brought home lots of ribbons. Our fifth grade buddies were also an amazing part of our day. Thank you Ms. Billups, for leading this charge.
So proud of these students for winning the Clemmons Spring Clean Up t-shirt design contest. They will be honored at the Town Hall meeting next week. At Morgan we believe school is all about finding ways to lift students up so they carry confidence with them to middle school. Thank you, Village of Clemmons, for providing this opportunity for these two young men.
This beautiful board greets us each day. Thanks to our teachers who put this together. ❤️❤️❤️
