Just got the call from Lake County Schools. Wednesday Schedule tomorrow.

Severe thunderstorms are in the forecast for tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024) in Lake County, particularly in areas on the northern end. In an effort to get as many students home before the worst of the storm begins, Lake County Schools will follow our Wednesday early dismissal schedule on Tuesday. The district will excuse absences for students who stay home because of the weather. Additionally, all outdoor after-school activities, games and night-school classes for tomorrow are canceled. Extended Learning Centers (ELCs) will remain open.

Feeling Blessed. 18 years ago today this sweet happy silly baby came into the world right before Christmas Eve. I was adamant that I was not going to be in the hospital Christmas day so they let us out early in the am on the 25th. He has turned into a smart, caring, pain in the you know what..., biggest heart, sarcastic, a bit more grumpy, young man. I am so proud to be his mom and call him mine. Happy 18th Bday Danny Ruiz (AKA Danny1). Cannot be any prouder of how hard you have worked, the improvements you have made yourself, and they man you are now. I love you now and forever.
