Urbanhood Organicz is a neighborhood driven urban homestead, committed to creating holistic opportunity in communities of color and beyond. I produce and raise organic foods as a means to cultivate a legacy of health and wellness in underutilized urban areas; physically and mentally connecting you back to community and nature while paying homage to the land and our ancestors that came before us.

REGENERATIVELY FARMED!!

By raising sustainably raised poultry I hope to increase access to healthy, chemical-free, humanely raised poultry .. There is a long and sacred legacy of raising fowl and other livestock in the Black community and an enduring practice of sacred harvest of animals in the Indigenous communities, and continued interest. Also, poultry is one of the more sustainable meats. Pigs and poultry account for only 10 percent of total livestock greenhouse gas emissions even as they provide three times as much meat globally as cattle. Poultry and pork also require five times less feed per kilogram of protein than cows, sheep, or goats. In climates with long winters, protein from fowl can be even more ecologically friendly than importing plant protein from far away during the winter months .

Pastured Poultry

Healthy and active on fresh non-GMO pasture these birds are naturally plump and vastly superior in land impact, nutrition and flavor.

My chickens are moved to fresh organic pasture at 3-4 weeks to scratch and peck on variety of grasses, bugs, grain and legumes which makes for naturally juicy, more nutritious and more succulent meat.

These active, robust chicks are suitable for free range, foraging and pasture environments and produce tender, succulent meat with more yellow omega 3 fat and less saturated fat than the faster growing breeds.
