Another Superelectric Pinball Battle's in the books! 35 players came out to play in 8 rounds of pinball, with the top 16 players of the day going onto playoffs, plus a novice division comprised of the best 4 of the lower ranked players in attendance!

In our Novice Divsion, Sal Dellipoala takes runner up!
and the Novice Champion, a first time Pinball Battler at Superelectric, Matthew Huynh! Matthew's consistent play in the novice finals earned him the Novice Champ trophy, way to go!

The pinball didn't stop there for the top 16 players! Groups of 4 battled it out, with 2 players moving onto the next round from each group until at least there were only 4.

Thank you to everyone that came out to the John Wick Launch Party! 32 players flipped their fingers off for 2 solid hours! Afterwards, the top 8 players sprinted towards the finish line in an amazing race style finals!

A huge thank you to Stern Pinball for giving us some swag to give away! Michael Trombetta won the John Wick Translite, and 1st through 5th place took home a toy car!

There were some killer games in the Amazing Race finals, but Bill Taylor really showed off his stuff in the final game by setting an impressive 77m game for Kyle Shepard to follow!

Friday, June 21, at Superelectric Pinball Parlor. 8 PM - 12 AM.

Qualifying for split flipper tournament (one person operates the left flipper while another person operates the right one) starts at 8, prom court and tournament winners announced at 11! Prizes for prom court, which will be determined by split flipper rankings. Top 2 teams (4 people) will make up the prom court, attendees to vote on final prom sovereigns. No pinball experience necessary!

$6 for all-you-can-play pinball (pay to the pinball parlor) plus suggested $5 donation to cover event costs (Venmo preferred) and to benefit Project Pinball Charity, https://projectpinball.org/, a non-profit that supplies pinball machines to children’s hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses. Event attendees will receive a homemade cookie, a prom picture, and a corsage/boutineer. Prom Punch will be available for purchase at the Bar (Spiked or Not)

May's battle is in the books! Thank you to the 32 competitors that came out to play this month! After folks played their best across 8 games, we took the top 16 players, plus 4 novice players for their respective playoffs for a chance at trophies and prizes!

The Novice finals were locked in for the champ after the first two games, but for everyone else it was a hard fight to take second. After the dust settled, we have our winners.

Novice Runner-up, at their first ever Pinball Battle (and tournament, ever!) Emily Howard! She went home with a crisp $20 after her hard earned win on the final game of Centaur with 190,000!

Shane Lewis is our Novice Champion! Shane has been novice champion previously, and showed his mettle once again after handedly taking Mousin' Around with a score of 6.4m! He took home his hard-earned trophy, and $25 in prize money!

3 rounds of main playoffs gave us the top 4 of the day. The three games that determined everything were Paragon, Mousin' Around!, and Foo Fighters. Here's the link to all of the finals matches, if you wanna see how things went round by round.

4th place- Ethan Smilg! He's making waves, collecting a top 4 spot at Cleveland Pinball League's Wednesday finals a few weeks ago!

3rd place 🥉- Tim Breidenstein! In a rough game of Paragon, Tim had the lead the whole game and kept it, ending with a solid 113,000 score.

2nd place 🥈- Kyle Shepard! Kyle had a slow start, taking last place on Paragon with a measly 1,000 point difference! He started to heat up on Mousin' Around and by the time he got to Foo Fighter's he was red hot, winning Foo with 369 million!

1st place 🏆- John Delzoppo! John showed off his ability and tenacity on Mousin' Around!, working hard to get a score of 37.7 million points, wow!!!

Battle Sunday is almost here. If you have a friend that is on the fence about coming out to the tournament share this post with them. These trophies came out pretty sweet if I must say so myself. Plus it's a good excuse to try the new John Wick.

Aw geez, it's been a really busy month and we (Valencia) forgot to do the Post-Battle round-up!

After qualifying, we took the 4 novice players closest to the cutline for finals and had them play for prizes and a trophy!

After a 3-game playoff, our top two were
Jeremy Alberico as runner-up and winner of $20
and the winner of the Novice Champion trophy and $25- Tim Brewer! Tim locked in the win for first after two back-to-back wins on Jaws and Mousin' Around!

With 53 players, main playoffs were a full field of 24 players. That's four rounds of eliminations to get to our top 4! If you'd like to look at the progression of the rounds, you can find that information here:

In main finals, much like novice division, the winner was decided after the first two games! Second and third place, however, came down to a tiebreaker game on Flash Gordon. Here's how everything panned out.

Scheduling updates for the weekend of May 17th at Superelectric Pinball Parlor:
- DJ MTV kicks of Cleveland Pinball League Finals weekend tomorrow (May 17th) with a Free-Play Party! All CPL members will enjoy free-play on all games from 8:00 PM - Midnight!
- The Parlor will be CLOSED Saturday (May 18th) from 3:00 - 5:00 PM for a Private Event
- The CPL Finals begin Saturday (May 18th) at 6:00 PM. The Parlor will remain open to the Public during League Finals.
- The CPL Finals will be running all day Sunday (May 19th)
- In addition to all the Pinball Fun, this weekend is the Cleveland Marathon and we expect traffic pattern changes and road closures in the neighborhood.

Superelectric Pinball Battle

Beginning April 28, the Superelectric Pinball Battle will be held every last Sunday of the month thru October.
- Doors open at 12pm, tournament starts at 1pm SHARP
- $10 for tournament entry (plus your $6 all day play) guarantees players 8 rounds of pinball against a variety of opponents
- Balanced arenas and balanced groups, 7/5/3/1 and 7/4/1 scoring. **Qualifying takes around 3-4 hours.**
- Top 50% of players will move onto a group elimination playoffs format, 45 minutes after round 8
- Trophies to top 3 and prizes for top 4 or greater based off attendance.

Newer to pinball? You may be eligible for the novice division! Of the players in attendance, the bottom 25% of ranked players will be eligible for Novice Finals. The 4 closet the the cutline without qualifying for main finals will play a 1-round playoff for a portion of the prize pool and a trophy!
