We are so grateful for our two guest readers, Mrs. Ollila and Mrs. Weigle, for joining us as our Reading Month guest readers this week! The kids enjoyed a visit from the Fairy Godmother and loved hearing all about Cinderella, Winnie the Pooh, and the Wemmicks!

It’s starting to feel more and more like spring around here! Our Desert artists put their creative abilities to work yesterday making bird feeders for all of the feathered friends we are starting to welcome back to Michigan! 🦜

Our first guest readers of March joined us yesterday for a special time of reading to our toddler and preschool classes! Thank you to Ms. Weirich and Ms. Nuñez for spending time with our students!

We also had our “Favorite Storybook Character” dress up day yesterday and our students didn’t disappoint!

Throwing it back this to a few weeks ago when Officer Hagan joined our students to speak to them about being a police officer👨🏻‍✈️🚔🚨We are so grateful for all those in law enforcement who serve to keep our communities safe!

We had such a blast celebrating all of our little valentines this week! Special thanks to our FCS senior class for making our students feel extra loved on by delivering special valentines gifts from LLA family members❤️

👩🏼‍⚕️We had the special privilege last week of having an FCS parent, Nurse Laura Kane, join us for a presentation on healthy eating choices and how to avoid spreading germs! The kids especially enjoyed watching the glitter “germs” transfer from one student to another! 🦠 Thank you to Laura Kane for giving her time to come educate our students on ways to stay healthy!

🚒🔥Our students (along with the 2nd grade class from Faith Christian School) were visited by LLA parent and Detroit fireman, Mr. Fournier, for a demonstration on fire safety yesterday! The kids enjoyed learning basic fire safety tips and earning fire hats of their own👨🏼‍🚒 Thank you to Mr. Fournier for helping our kids learn how to stay calm and safe in the event of a fire!

Our preschool classes were having SN❄️W much fun in the wintery wonderland this morning!
