Changes are hard. Especially BIG changes. Some changes happen BY us, some changes happen TO us (hate those!). One of those things that happen TO us is the change of seasons. It feels like just as soon as I have the hang of summer, fall comes creeping up... but how grateful I am for the seasons! Some seasons I like more than others, which is why it seems so hard to let them go, I guess. Like summer! I'm comfortable with summer, I know how to summer. I love the sunshine! I love being in water! Unfortunately, the summer season is coming to an end... just as another season in my life is ending.

I have been working since I was 14. Not just "working" but WORKING HARD. I have been in the hair industry now for about 20 years. I have loved every minute of it (lies - there were definitely minutes I didn't love), but I wouldn't change any of my time spent behind the chair. If any of you sat in my chair, you would know how many heartfelt and deep conversations, tears, and laughter that took place.

This has been a long time coming, and as Bridger would say, "It's overdue mom. "... but it doesn't make this any easier. I HATE quitting. Anything. If you know me well, you KNOW that. However, you know those changes that happen TO us? They are inevitable and sometimes painful. I'm exhausted fighting it. I'm exhausted trying to keep up with the life I HAD, and I'm trying to accept the reality of the life I HAVE.

The autoimmune disease I have has changed me in so many different and difficult ways. I think the hardest part has been accepting the changes. IT. SUCKS.

I will now be changing (there is that pesky word again) my focus to other important areas of my life.

For right now, I will be taking appointments for LASHES ONLY. I will also only be taking those appointments:
Monday-Thursday 10am-4pm
Friday 10am-2pm
I will not be taking appointments outside of these days/times.

I hope that all my wonderful hair clients can find someone who will appreciate you as much as I did. I also hope that if my schedule no longer serves you with lashes, you will also find someone who appreciates you as much as I did.

Hey everyone! As some of you may know, the past few months haven't gone exactly as I planned 😂😑

I'm going to be taking the next few weeks to get my salon finished! I won't be taking hair appointments for a few weeks, but I will still be taking lash appointments.

Hey friends!

The time has come! Moving day! As most of you know, we need to be out of our house by July 2nd. We will be living with my in-laws while our new house in Clinton is being finished. Unfortunately, Wednesday June 29th will be my last day in the salon until September. Please go online and book your appointments you will need as soon as possible! I will be able to make *some* house calls as needed in July and August but please understand that my schedule and services will be limited. I just wanted to thank everyone for the phone calls, text messages, meals and prayers you have sent our way. This is not something we ever thought we would go through as a family but I am so grateful for the love and support.

I know I have been a little off the past two weeks or so but I am ready to get back to work. I have opened my schedule until the end of June. We will be moving by July 2nd and I'm still not 100% sure if I'll be going straight to our new home or if we will be somewhere else until it is finished. I have mixed emotions writing this and I have taken an exceptionally long time to think this through. My family’s needs are changing and with that, my career must follow suit. I am NOT closing the salon but I am cutting my hours drastically. I have been working almost 40 hours a week and because of that, I have failed at other important areas of my life. I have loved and appreciated all of you.... which is why it is SO HARD to take this step. I am so lucky to have had your loyalty to me through the years and I hope to be able to continue to provide services to you. This, like all other things in this life, will be temporary. Once all my kiddos are in school full time, I hope to be able to go back to full time in the salon. Mylo will be starting 1st grade fall of 2023 and my schedule will become much more flexible. My schedule from January 1st-June 5th 2022 will be as follows:

Monday: 1pm-4pm

Tuesday: Closed

Wednesday: 1pm-4pm

Thursday: 3pm-9pm

Friday: Closed

Saturday: 9am-Noon

Sunday: Closed

When summer is approaching, I will re-evaluate my schedule and the needs of not only my clients, but my family as well. I will announce my summer schedule in May 2022. I HIGHLY recommend going online and pre-booking your appointments! That is the best way to guarantee an appointment.

Also, I will be charging “no-show” fees starting January 1st 2022. Luckily, I don’t have a huge problem with my clients doing that but it has happened quite a bit lately. It takes away time that I could have scheduled other clients and is unfair to not only them, but me as well. The “no-show” fee will be 50% of the price of your appointment. You can ALWAYS cancel 24 hours in advance but not showing up to your scheduled appointment is completely inconsiderate.

Feeling a little under the weather tonight so thought I'd post this bright fun blonde I did this week! We kept a soft shadow root and added layers!

Goodness gracious it has been a rough few weeks!  I first want to thank all of you for your well wishes, dinners, treats, text messages, phone calls, prayers and good vibes!!  They were appreciated and loved.  I can honestly say that was one of the worst recoveries I have ever had from anything.  On the plus side, I won’t ever have to do that surgery ever again!  Yay!  I am feeling better, but I am not 100%.  Per my doctor’s advice, I won’t be going back to full time in the salon until the last week of July. I am super bummed I am not healing as fast as I thought I would, but I SO appreciate your patience as I slowly start adapting back to my daily life!

With that being said, I have opened my calendar so you can hop on and make an appointment(s)!  As of right now, I will be working Mondays and Thursdays from 9am-4pm.  Once school starts, I will be working Mondays and Wednesdays from 9am-4pm.  I will also be working one evening a week from 5pm-9pm and one Saturday a month from 10am-6pm as long as it continues to work for my family.  Evenings and Saturdays will be available for booking on the last day of the month before. (July 31st you can book for August, August 31st you can book for September… etc...)
