I’m a very curious person by nature. I always want to know the who/why/how/when. It’s one of the reasons I love when a new guest finds their way to my studio. Learning about who a person is and how they got to the point in life that they’re at is the most interesting thing to me- perhaps it’s why biographical books are my favorite! What are some of the best things you have bought this weekend or plan to buy in the coming weeks- for yourself or as gifts to others? 🎁 Here are some things I recommend you either buy for yourself (hair/skin stuff) or as gifts for others: silk or satin pillow case, humidifier, a smooth microfiber hair towel/wrap, silk scrunchies, la roche posay hand cream, red light therapy face mask or box, a moisturizing face mask you can sleep in (I like Rodial Dragon’s blood face mask or Lanage water mask), a deep conditioning hair mask, or a gift certificate for an appointment with me!

Bespoke: Adjective made for a particular customer or user. "a bespoke suit" * making or selling bespoke goods, especially clothing."bespoke tailors" Every color and cut that walks out of my salon studio is bespoke. Entirely custom to YOU! While there are general blanket ‘rules’ to follow for the care of your hair, which I will get to here in just one moment, I go over the specifics at your appointment for your specific hair and situation. Some general care tips for your hair: 🚿🫧 Washing: cool to cold water (as cold as you can handle) is best for your hair AND skin! It is best for color treated hair to retail color. Hot water will open up the door (cuticle layer of the hair strand) and tell those color molecules “get out of my house”! ❓Would you wash your delicate OR colored clothing in hot water? Same thing applies here! 🫧 A high quality shampoo and conditioner. We want something that not only protects your color, but help shields it from the elements. Every head of hair is different and we can talk specifics for your strands in person. For a lot of (but not all) of my color clients, I like the KM everlasting color wash and rinse. It not only preserves your color, but rebuilds and multiplies the bonds of the hair strand, repels and protects from minerals in the water 💧 and protects from UV damage (and more!). 🥵 🔥 Thermal Styling: blow drying and using any kind of heat styling (irons, round brushing, etc). A thermal protecting product is worth its weight in gold. Thermal protection comes in a lot of products that I use and carry (many of the leave-in conditioners!), and some offer protection any where from 350 up to 450 degrees of protection. But I NEVER want you using anything higher than 400 degrees on your hair at home. 375 is typically (for most people) good. I do my best to turn out the highest quality of work I am capable of.
