PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR CCW HOLDERS:

Please be advised that we have had a couple permit holders be denied their renewal under the 6 month grace period because of timing. Fresno County provides those with CCW's a 6 month grace period to get your renewal completed, submitted, and processed. So that everyone is clear, you must have your renewed CCW permit issued before the 6 months has expired. If you submit your renewal paperwork and the Sheriff does not process the renewal before the 6 months is up, they will notify you that you have to start over with a 16 hour course and apply as an initial applicant.

Please do not drag your feet on getting your permit renewed. Whatever the circumstances are, get your class done (you can do it online with us even!) and paperwork submitted WELL BEFORE your grace period is up. The Sheriff will allow you to start your renewal process once you are in your 30 day of expiration window. You can get your class/shooting done a month or two before this time. No excuses for not getting it done people!

Our online 16 hour initial and 8 hour renewal CCW courses are available again! After a long first half of the year, we have overhauled and built a brand new website from the ground up. Our course is 100% SB2 compliant and available 24/7. You have 90 days to complete your 16 hour initial course, and 60 days for the 8 hour renewal. You can start, stop, and finish at your own pace. You can also go back and review material and screenshot if you wish to "take notes". It could not be more convenient!

Once you have completed the online course, you still need to come in and do your shooting to finish the State requirements. You will then receive your course of completion to present to your issuing agency (Fresno/Madera/Kings).

We have received our DOJ CCW instructor number and are currently waiting on the local Sheriff's agencies to provide us with our approval. We anticipate our online course (both 16 hour initial and 8 hour renewal) to re-launch by/before July 1st!

We have also been working on building out a brand new website dedicated to California Online CCW and we are excited to show you what we have built.

As a valued member of our community, it’s important that you stay connected and aware of what is happening where you live. The significance of self-defense and safety of you and your loved ones is at an all-time high. We have partnered with the USCCA to join us at this event to speak about the resources they provide to their members such as safety courses, home practice print-outs, concealed carry magazines, educational books and more.

This event will give you access to a certified USCCA instructor, face time with educated and experienced local law enforcement, fun activities for the family and delicious food.

We spent several days up in Fairfield last week promoting California Online CCW to Sheriff's departments from all over the State. We learned a lot regarding the changes to CCW permitting process that stemmed from the passing and implementation of SB2.

We also received some great information on getting our instructors recertified per the new State of California DOJ requirements and we are excited to hopefully re-launch the online courses within the next few months.

When we re-launch, we will have the 16 hour initial and 8 hour renewal available and both will be on our new 2.0 system.

The 8 hour initial and 4 hour renewal courses will be pulled from the website around 5:00pm today. You will no longer be able to purchase these courses that are specific to 2023 CCW requirements. If you are still working through the content of the course, you will have time to log in and finish. The Firing Line closes at 7:00pm on Saturday, December 30th. If you are still working on the course and need to finish the shooting, you MUST be in by Saturday, December 30th at 6:00pm AT THE VERY LATEST!

Effective January 1st, 2024, SB2 will change the requirements and guidelines for CCW applicants (both initials and renewals). We will have both options available at a TBD date.
