Charcoal Deli
Cockeysville's home of Baltimore's Best Pit Beef for 30 years! Also home of the best customers evvaa We are a family owned local small business.
We are known for our Pit Beef, Beach Fries and Lemonade. We are also a popular choice for our homemade Pork BBQ and baby back ribs.
We are closing in on our annual work vacation to Howard County Fair!
🚨 Mark your calendar and come see us at the fair!
The fair is coming!
The fair is coming!
For any newcomers, this is a massive event for us and honestly the best pit beef possible because of our Monsta Cooker. Over the years, it's gotten to be too much to give our Church Lane family and our Howard County family proper service and split staff.
This means our 21030 location will be closed starting Saturday, August 3rd and reopening Wednesday, August 14th.
So don't worry. We're coming back but as Jeff used to tell us all you can do is all you can do. We would love to see you out there! It's a fair that's definitely worth going to!
Hey there!
Hey there friends!
Some of my MD themed stickers are up for sale today! If anyone is ever looking for a certain shape with our flag, I've cracked the design trick so can probably do it. 🙌
Still out here working on local appeal designs on various products to earn to pay off the mega repair we made at the Deli. Two big ones back to back years. 🤦♀️
Greetings folks!
Over the years we've worked with some great peeps who went on to be excellent teachers, and we sure have provided a meal for many, MANY great teachers over the years.
I'm excited to say my niece is on her way to becoming THAT teacher who children remember.
If anyone in our Charcoal Deli family likes to support teachers, Ms. Carroll is a local and would be super appreciative! She's got a huge heart and will no doubt be a positive influence in many childrens' lives throughout her career.
This is what she posted personally:
"Hi Friends! As some of you may know, I will be starting my first year of teaching in the fall at a public elementary school in Essex. I will specifically be teaching Kindergarten and I am currently in the process of building my classroom, which requires lots of things / toys / supplies for my kiddos! If any of you are feeling in the giving spirit and would like to peruse my Amazon wishlist, I would be so so grateful. Additionally if you find yourself in the donating mood and wanted to send a dollar or two my way, my venmo is Elle-Carroll-3.
I realize times are tough and truly any support (monetary or simply words of encouragement) is more than enough. I have included the link below!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!"
Hey there friends!
Mark said the new Aldi's is nice. Ima try to pop in today and check it out.
Guess who went to the soft opening?
His report was: very nice and great total for the 4 things he bought - like I didn't believe him great.
Take your bags people!
Specials. Have a great Wednesday friends!
Except for you peeps who have the cooled steering wheels!
There ya go friends. Grand opening the 18th and they're giving out some things to the 1st 100 in the door.
Me over here hoping that doesn't turn into a Black Friday like brawl. 😅😉
We'll always miss our old school neighbors like we still miss 7-11 but hoping this Aldi is a great addition for 21030.

Aldi to open at old Jo-Ann fabric site in Cockeysville next week The grocery chain also has a store about 2 1/2 miles south in Timonium, and recently opened another in Abingdon.
I just picked up our son from work and saw the Aldi's is stocking. I've seen different dates tossed around, but it's looking close.
Happy Friday to ya friends!
Think we should try it or a rain dance to get the downpour to ease the humidity? 🤔
Hello there friends!
We hope you all are having a great 4th! To those working today, thank you for keeping things rolling where you are!
We will be back at it Saturday. If you're seeing this on IG, song brought to you by memories of my Dad. He lovvvvved marching bands.

Two of my favorite citizens 😉 out there serving food at Precinct 7 for Community Relations Day. Thanks to the Force for having us back and all you do in our area! The police are fed and ready to do a fine job for the 🎆 at Oregon Ridge and BCC tonight!
I goofed but didn't see the need to reprint. As usual we are OPEN TODAY but CLOSED the 4th and 5th so our folks get a little R&R before the run to HoCo Fair in August.
See you all later at the Deli or Mark will see you at the 21030 Precinct 7 serving food for their Community Relations picnic.
It's still on! We are looking forward to it!
Thanks for the idea . The Huckleberry Lemonade is deeeelicious!
Lunchtime! And it's gorgeous outside!
See ya later!
Specials for W&R.
See ya later!
Since a comment came up elsewhere, I reached back for this post. Mike helped us again last year when a power outage blew a part. He fixed it in record time and we got back to cooling down. As you can imagine, AC working is extremely important to Mark when he gets home from work so having someone we can count on is extra HUGE.
If you need an HVAC person, Mike is top notch!

We're still rollin if ya don't want to heat up your house any more! Goodness knows our AC is NOT keeping up with it at home and the Deli? It's Hell Degrees but our folks are still getting it done!
🚨 NEW RECORD
🏆 🌡️ 101°F at Baltimore’s BWI broke the old mark of 100°F set in 1988.
🔥 The airport has been running warmer than surrounding areas… (lots more construction there = heat island)
👉🏻 Your car and bank thermometers are not necessary accurate.
Half & Half sounds about right for today.
Happy Weekend to you all but especially my Big Brother whose military retirement ceremony and celebration is tomorrow🇺🇲!
We hope it's a great day and will sorely miss being a part of it Captain! Job WELL DONE!
