here’s the ugly side of lash extensions. POOR lash care. This is what happens when you pull and tug at your lashes. Mind you, a lot of the times they will come in and say their lashes “fall out so fast,” “they just don’t last on me,” “maybe my lash tech doesn’t know what they’re doing” & 9/10, they just don’t know how to leave their eyes alone! As lash artist, WE KNOW when you pull your lashes!! We know when you wear mascara, eyeliner, put falsies on top of your extensions, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU PICK AT THEM!! WE KNOW IT ALL; there’s no point in trying to beat around the bush when it comes down to it.

AS A LASH ARTIST - IT IS YOUR JOB TO EDUCATE YOUR CLIENTS ❗️❗️❗️❗️

Taking care of your extensions is 🔑 to HEALTHY NATURAL LASHES

1. Do not wet your lashes for at-least 24-36 hours to prevent irritation from the fumes & breaking the glue bond down too soon
2. NO MASCARA OR EYELINER.
- mascara and eyeliner are SO HARD to take off of the extensions therefore it WILL cause buildup, irritation and POOR RETENTION.
- buildup from dirty lashes can cause your extensions to STICK together, leading to natural lash damage
3. No sleeping on your face
- when sleeping on your face, you can cause the lashes to shift in one direction causing irritation and pulling on the natural lash
4. NO PICKING ❗️❗️
As pretty as your lashes are after a fresh set and you want to touch them so bad; DONT.
Our hands are the dirtiest things on our body. Just like when you touch your hair too much, you’re building up oil in your extensions which can cause your fans to close & lead to poor retention. When you pull at your lash extensions, you are causing pre mature damage to that hair follicle AND THAT is what can RUIN your lashes.

When you come in like this, there’s not a lot we can do to make a set happen. Remember this is your money that you’re spending, don’t waste it by being careless with aftercare.

& TO ALL MY LASH ARTIST; SPEAK UP! When clients come in like this, with dirty lashes, gaps from picking or just anything that’s not with YOUR STANDARDS. SAY SOMETHING! THIS IS YOUR WORK BEING SHOWN AROUND AND YOUR NAME; DONT BE SCARED!!
