Our amazing son graduated pre-k on Friday, and starts kindergarten this Fall! He has really learned a lot at this school, from the very beginning in the infant room all the way through pre-school. We were amazed at some of the things he learned so early. We know he will do great at his next school. Congrats to my best little buddy! Of course I HAD to take his graduation pictures at the school. I can't help but wonder what he will look like 12 years from now when he graduates highschool!

About Little Fox Photography

Our story began long before my passion for photography was discovered.

It began when my first-born came into this world on March 3rd, 2011. Born with a number of health complications, Eric Jason (EJ), who doctors often described as a little body full of anomalies, was perfect to me, and he was all I ever wanted. The second he was born my life became centered around him, making sure he was always happy and smiling, while consciously creating memories with him. He quickly gained the nickname, “Little Fox” due to his clever ability to stump doctors near and far, and the name caught on quickly to those who knew and loved him… including the hospital staff he met through out his life.

One day, a friend of the family (who also happens to be a professional photographer) came to our house to photograph us. These photos are more beautiful than any of the ones I’ve taken myself since becoming a photographer, simply because they feature my son, and my friend had a way of capturing OUR love and the fun we had together as mother and son. It was more than just having photographs to look through at the end of the day. It was also about the experience, the fun we had creating it, and remembering the joy that was felt that day every time I look back on them. This is easily one of my favorite memories. And now when I think back on this day, I know this is what I want to do for you.

In August 2013, my Little Fox became my Guardian Angel.

I’ve spent the years following his death cherishing my memories of him, mostly through photographs. The more time that passed, the more real and obvious it became that I was stuck cycling through the same memories, the same photographs. And with every minute, hour, and day that continued to pass by, the time began to feel wasted because I knew I was unable to create new ones with him.

I don’t want to sound cliche by saying I became a photographer to help people “create memories”. But… that is exactly what I’m saying. In 2016 I was given another chance to unconditionally love and welcome another little boy into my life. That’s when I discovered I had a real passion for photography; I knew I had to make this one count and do my best at documenting his life through photographs, especially since he’s too young to start making memories on his own.

This motivation is how I keep my passion for photography going, and if I can share this with you by helping you create beautiful snapshots of your memories to cherish in the years to come, I would be honored.

Best of all, and perhaps what I enjoy most about photography, is that it helps me keep EJ’s memory alive.

In October 2019, my best friend became my husband and I am honored to have him by my side supporting my passion for photography. He often joins me on sessions and has become my partner on this fun adventure.
