WE'RE BACK TO SCHOOL: Let's have a great year!

Hello Panther Families!

We are excited for our first day of school on Monday, August 12th. However, Monday is ONLY for our Freshmen (9th grade) Class.

Students may arrive starting at 8am and our Monday start time is 8:50am.

ALL students will return on Tuesday, August 13th. Remember that our school starts at 7:20am the rest of the week (Tuesday-Friday.)

In addition, our Back to School night will take place August 12th from 6-7:30pm!!! Would love to see everyone there to meet and greet our wonderful 24-25 Staff!

The free vaccine clinic being held at the Family Success Center has seen a large turnout today. The Colorado Department of Public Health tells us they have already used all of the vaccines they had available for this clinic. We are working with state health department leaders to schedule a future clinic to take care of any families who are still in need of vaccinations. Please keep an eye out for updates on when another clinic is scheduled.

Get your students vaccinated for free until 6 PM tonight at the Family Success Center. No ID or insurance required! Bring immunization records if possible.

NEW BACKPACKS! These kiddos love the backpacks they picked out today thanks to the generous contributions of local residents, organizations, and volunteers. We're so grateful for this support for our kids in southeast Colorado Springs! We look forward to seeing students with their new backpacks on campus soon!

BECOMING LEADERS: D2 is partnering with ECOC (Educating Children of Color) to host a Leadership Academy. These students were selected from Harrison High School and Sierra High School after being nominated by academic and athletics leaders who recognized them for their leadership qualities. These students are experiencing the same rigorous leadership training as school staff members and will play an important role in helping out on campus and in the community.

SOCCER CAMP: Plenty of kids are getting their kicks at the Harrison High School soccer field this week as players and coaches work to mentor the next generation of D2 soccer stars!

ATTENTION D2 FAMILIES: We are about a month away from the Saturday, August 3rd Backpack Bash at Panorama Park from 9am – Noon. Don’t forget to sign up ahead of time for your time slot to pick up your free backpack. At the event, students will also be able to enjoy back-to-school haircuts, games, resources, treats, and more!
