Not going to lie, this Blueberry Chai Spice Mead is one of the tastiest draft meads we've ever made.

It is National Honey Bee day and we can bee more grateful for all the goodness and growth they bring to the world.

If you see a bee out and about today, make sure to stop and smell the flowers alongside them. This is our only world and it is worth cherishing.

Today we are pouring mead at one of the only festivals of the year . If you are local we are excited to see you and share a moment in the Colorado sunshine.

We are pouring some summery Orange Basil, Sauv Blanc and BlackBerry Fig meads.

It is a small space but a start as we explore to-go sales and tasting rooms. We will have small batch and rotating taps of both meads and kombuchas. While we currently cannot serve you a full glass of mead to sit down and enjoy on-site, you can sample the meads and decide which you'd like to take home.

If you want to geek out over wine and oak, our meadmaker got his start at this CA oak barrel company. Patrick learned to hone his palate while slinging barrels to the best of the best west coast wineries.

A family company supporting family cooperages, is now transitioning to the younger generation. We are happy Janice Boswell and her fiance Sean Adamowicz are taking the helm.

For all their youth, the two have some serious street cred having worked at wineries including: Domaine Dujac (France), Willams Selyem, Flowers, Escarpment (NZ), Staglin, Porter Creek and Ridge...and we hear a Harvest @ J.Rochioli is coming.

That's an impressive list that makes us a little jelly 😉. We can't wait for them to tie the knot and for regular visits to their well-stocked cellar. 🍷

While it seems like forever ago, in 2019 we sponsored Jazz in the Garden, a free summer concert series in downtown Colorado Springs. As the pandemic would have it, this year it is now Jazz in YOUR Garden, with 93.5 FM - Jazz for Colorado Springs streaming the concerts for at home enjoyment.

This coming Friday night (6/28/20) is going to be awesome with the Little London Belles performing. A throwback to a bygone era of dance and catchy tunes, the group brings the 1940's swing & boogie-woogie beats back to life.

We know we are all busy in this world, but take a moment to tune in and let go. We know the singers personally and we can't speak enough of their professionalism. After years in the west coast wine barrel industry and years building dry-style, session meads in Colorado Springs, he is excited to have distribution available to the SW part of Colorado.

Last week we delivered a new test tap mead, a Blueberry & Raspberry Mead with hints of Cinnamon and Cardamom. Clocking in at over 7% and coming off as a semi-sweet, we named it Jam Session.

Although we can't tell you when it will be on tap, we delivered it to the following amazing places:

A Blackberry (Genus:Rubus) Fig (Mission variety) mead.

Clocking in at a robust 7% ABV, it has nice layers of dark berry with underlying notes of to***co and leather.

Only 11 kegs made. Hosting taps are at: Bar-K, Tap Traders, Front Range BBQ, Jake and Telly's Greek Taverna, N3 Taphouse, Iron Bird Brewing Co. Dog Haus Biergarten, The Ute & Yeti, & Trails End Taproom

We delivered late last week. Most of the list should put it on within a week or two, depending on the queue. You can always call to see when it might go on ;)

If you are out and find it in the glass let us know. If it is well received, we might consider canning or bottling it down the line.

And so it begins. 2018 Chipotle Pumpkin aged for a year on rum-soaked oak.... only 70 cases, bottled in wonder, reusable swing-top 750mls. Only delivering about half to our best local liquor store accounts. Our new online store will offer them sometime next week.

Did we mention we won a Gold Medal in the 2019 Governor's Cup for our canned For the Love of Ginger, and Silver meads for Cherry Bee Dazzled and Sauvage Mead Blanc? 😁
